His father was Togbui Akumey -Geli Adjorlolo I, Dufia of Atorkor aka James Agbedanu Adjorlolo, a descendant from the royal Bate clan of Anlo,
Our patriach Adelako was the son of Tsatsu Adeladza I of Awoamezi. He founded Adelakokope as a hunting ground. With time Adelakokope was to play a lead role in the slave trade. The litorrals were with tme engaged in the fish and salt bater for slaves from Akwamu, Asante. The Portuguese Baeta gave a new dimension to the economic activity when he sank the first well to refresh his slaves from the hinterland enroute to the Americas.
Adelakokope became an entreport of a big time Transatlantic slave trade.
Today Adelakokope is known as Atorkor. The history of the name is well documented.
