Hon. MCE Siata Watara on Monday, 23rd February 2026, visited several communities within the Jaman South Municipality as part of her ongoing community engagement initiative. The communities visited included Tainano No. 1 & 2, Mempeasem, Asare, Mpuasu, Baanafour, and Kofiko.
The visit formed part of her commitment to engaging directly with residents and traditional authorities, listening to their concerns, and strengthening collaboration for accelerated development across the Municipality

The Jaman South Municipal Assembly has officially launched the ‘Nkoko Nkitinkiti’ Programme under the Government’s Feed Ghana Programme.
The initiative is aimed at boosting poultry production, improving food security, and enhancing livelihoods within the municipality. It is expected to empower local farmers, create employment opportunities, and contribute to sustainable economic growth in Jaman South.

Hon. Siata Watara, Municipal Chief Executive for Jaman South, together with Heads of Departments and Units, embarked on a site inspection to monitor ongoing projects in the municipality.
Projects inspected included the construction of a 6-unit classroom block with toilet facilities at Famkwaa, CHPS Compound at Bodaa, KG block at Anunguano, and a two-storey dormitory block at Gonasua TVET.
The visit was to ensure quality work and that all stakeholders are working towards a common goal.

The Jaman South Municipal Assembly held a staff management meeting to discuss key performance assessments, key performance indicators, and strategies to improve staff productivity. A presentation on key performance assessment was delivered by Mr. Atta Kwaku of the Planning Unit.

Jaman South Spatial Planning Committee Meets
The Jaman South Municipal Spatial Planning Committee (S.P.C) held its statutory meeting this morning, Thursday, 18th December, 2025, at the Municipal Assembly Hall.
Members discussed key planning issues, including the adoption of previous minutes, presentation of Technical Sub-Committee recommendations, and the status of the Street Naming and Property Addressing System. Other development-related matters were also considered.
The meeting forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to promote orderly development and effective spatial planning within the municipality.

🌟 BRCC Monitoring Team Visits Jaman South Municipal Assembly 🌟
On Wednesday, December 2025, the Jaman South Municipal Assembly welcomed a four-member monitoring team from the Bono Regional Coordinating Council (BRCC) as part of their routine review of our 2025 third-quarter activities.
The team, led by Mr. Joseph Mensah, met with the Municipal Coordinating Director and all departmental heads during an entrance conference, where key performance indicators and review areas were outlined.
They later spent about three hours carefully examining our documents and files to ensure our operations meet the required standards.
After the exercise, the team shared their findings at an exit conference. They commended the Assembly for its strong performance and cooperation, while also offering helpful recommendations in areas that need improvement.
The Municipal Coordinating Director expressed his appreciation for the team’s dedication and assured them that the Assembly will work on all issues raised to strengthen our service delivery.
This visit highlights our continuous commitment to accountability, transparency, and improved service delivery for the good people of Jaman South.
