UGANDAN DELEGATION VISITS GRIDCo
A Team from the Ugandan Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) are in GRIDCo for a 3-day follow up visit after signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in September 2022.
The visit is for the UETCL Team to benchmark discussions on Optic Fibre Business, which GRIDCo has excellent expertise in.
The UETCL after its commencement in 2001, held a Public Infrastructure Provider’s License from the Uganda Communications Commission for owning and operating their optic fibre infrastructure with primary purpose to support the Supervising Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system in ensuring grid availability and reliability in Uganda.
The Ugandan delegation's lead is Jjumba Abdu Karim, and they have been received by Sam Kow Acquah, Acting Director, Office of the Chief Executive of GRIDCo.

Power distribution under threat as ECG, NEDCo owe GRIDCo GHC2.7bn - Newstitbits The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), Mr Ebenezer Kofi Essienyi, says two major power distribution companies in the country, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) owed his outfit GH¢ 2.7 billion.

A DELEGATION FROM ENSIGN GLOBAL COLLEGE MEETS GRIDCo MANAGEMENT
A delegation, led by Professor Agyeman Badu Akosa, Board Vice-Chairman of Ensign Global College met the Management of Ghana Grid Company Ltd. (GRIDCo), to discuss the launch of its Masters program in Health and Safety, as well as solicit ideas for collaboration with institutions, who have inculcated Health and Safety in their line of operations.
Addressing Management during the visit, Professor Akosa explained that the programme is a professional and educational initiative in Health & Safety, which seeks to bridge safety gaps in all aspects of life. He added that, the programme will cover a broad range of areas, including, Occupational Safety; Community Safety; Food Safety; General Health and Safety, among others.
Professor Akosa also commended GRIDCo for diligently ensuring that safety consciousness remains a priority in its operations.
Ing. Ebenezer Kofi Essienyi, Chief Executive of GRIDCo commended the team from the College for taking such a significant initiative. On behalf of Management, he expressed the Company’s willingness to collaborate with the College for the benefit of GRIDCo staff.
