On this sacred evening, we unite in reflection and faith

Happy Passover to the Jewish community, a celebration of freedom, deliverance, and God’s faithfulness.

And to Christians, as Lent comes to an end, we remember not only His commandment to love, but the depth of His sacrifice.
In humility, He served. In love, He gave everything.

“Love one another as I have loved you.”

Grateful for a love so powerful it chose sacrifice, and a grace that carries us into Easter.

Earlier this week, the GSLP Women’s Section held a Tea Party to celebrate International Women’s Day.

International Women’s Day is not only a moment to celebrate achievements, but also to reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every woman and girl has the opportunity to thrive, lead, and be heard.

We thank the party's women section as well as Elsie Gonzalez and Soraya Ward for thier hard work.

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and recognise the incredible contribution women make to our community every single day.

Across Gibraltar, women continue to lead, care, build, and inspire in every part of our society. In our families, our workplaces, our public services, and our community life. Their strength, dedication and resilience help shape the Gibraltar we are proud of today.

As a party, the GSLP remains committed to supporting equality, opportunity and respect for women in every area of life. While much progress has been made over the years, we know that continuing to promote fairness, representation and opportunity remains essential.

Today is a moment to recognise the achievements of women, to thank them for the role they play in our lives and in our community, and to continue working towards a future where every woman and girl has the opportunity to thrive.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the incredible women in Gibraltar. 🌸

In a Rare calendar convergence, this year Lent and Ramadam begin together.

As Lent and Ramadan fall side by side this year, Gibraltar is reminded of the beauty that defines our community.

To all Christians observing Lent, and Muslims observing Ramadan, may this sacred time bring you peace, reflection, strength, and spiritual renewal.

May the values we share, faith, compassion, sacrifice, and kindness unite us. May this season deepen our understanding of one another and strengthen the bonds that make Gibraltar so special.

God bless you all, and may this holy time bring blessings to you, your families, and our whole Gibraltar community.

⚠️ Public Awareness Notice - Fake AI Investment Scams ⚠️

Fake AI-generated videos are currently being circulated online showing Members of Parliament and other public figures appearing to promise massive financial returns. These videos are fraudulent and form part of an ongoing scam.

Please be aware: No legitimate politician will ever provide financial advice, request money, or promise investment opportunities through social media, messaging apps, or any online platform.

To stay safe:

- Never share personal or banking information online

- Do not send money to individuals or links received through social media.

- Report suspicious content immediately.

Stay vigilant, protect your personal data, and help others remain informed. Digital scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and awareness is the first line of defence.

The Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister discuss Brexit and it's complications. Beyond the political noise, they reveal the facts, the context and the reality of what has actually been achieved.

During the treaty negotiations, Gibraltar has secured tangible progress that directly protects our people and our economy. Safeguarding frontier fluidity for workers and businesses, preserving Gibraltar’s sovereignty and constitutional status, protecting our financial services sector, ensuring continued access to the EU market, and strengthening security cooperation at the border.

These outcomes did not happen by accident. They are the result of serious negotiation, persistence, and leadership, driven by the leadership of the Deputy Chief Minister, Joeseph Garcia, and the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, at a time when Gibraltar’s future faced unprecedented uncertainty.

The Inquiry Report concluded that Mr McGrail and the senior management of the RGP were not as forthcoming as they should have been when providing information.

- Day books went missing.
- WhatsApp messages went missing, including NO access to the Senior RGP WhatsApp group.
- Laptops went missing.
- Mobile phones went missing.
- Hard drives went missing.

Let us be clear: these were senior RGP officers, officers who understand the relevance of evidence and the critical importance of preserving it.

As senior law-enforcement professionals, they would have been fully aware of the consequences of preserving evidence, and equally of losing it.

Yet, while the Opposition attempts to brush these findings aside, the Chief Minister has rightly pointed out that the conclusions relating to the senior management of our police force are nothing short of devastating.

This video is a reminder that leadership is, above all, human.

Behind the title and the responsibility is a person carrying difficult decisions on behalf of an entire community.

As Gibraltar continues to navigate an important and sensitive moment, it is vital that we recognise the pressure involved and support the work being done to secure a stable and positive future for everyone. Whatever our views, unity, understanding, and respect will always serve Gibraltar better as we move forward together.
Fabian Picardo
