🏃♂️ Cpl Nicholls of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Reserves took on the demanding Gaucín Backyard Ultra in Málaga, completing an impressive 71.45 km with 1,884 m of elevation gain.
The event challenges runners to complete a 6.706 km loop every hour, on the hour, until they can no longer continue.
He raised £928 for Cancer Relief Gibraltar and The Royal Gibraltar Regiment Benevolent Fund, with funds split equally between both charities.
A fantastic achievement in endurance and fundraising. Well done, Cpl Nicholls! 👏

👑🇬🇮 The Royal Gibraltar Regiment proudly marked His Majesty The King’s Official Birthday yesterday with a ceremonial parade at Grand Casemates Square.
A proud display of military precision, discipline, and tradition, the event brought together service personnel, veterans, families, dignitaries, and the wider community in celebration of the Sovereign and the Armed Forces.

As part of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment’s 87th Anniversary Regimental Week celebrations, the Regiment hosted its “Take on the RG” challenge in Casemates Square, inviting members of the public to test themselves against some of the Regiment’s fittest soldiers.
The event was a fantastic success, raising funds in support of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Benevolent Fund, the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Army Cadet Force (RGACF) and the Gibraltar Scouts, demonstrating the Regiment’s continued commitment to supporting the local community.
Yesterday, CSgt Payne was pleased to present cheques of £300 each to the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Army Cadet Force and the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Benevolent Fund.
Thank you to everyone who took part and contributed to making the event such a success.

🇬🇮🇬🇧 Personnel from British Forces Gibraltar recently travelled to Lourdes, France, to take part in the International Military Pilgrimage, joining thousands of servicemen and women from over 40 nations in a week of faith, reflection, service, and international friendship.
Led by Father Danny Hernandez, the Gibraltar contingent participated in religious ceremonies, cultural events, and supported assisted pilgrims, proudly representing Gibraltar on the international stage.
The pilgrimage provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen bonds with allied nations, reflect on the values of service and sacrifice, and demonstrate the compassion, professionalism, and commitment that define our Armed Forces.

After four and a half years of dedicated service, Major (Retd) Ernest “Tito” Danino has handed over the role of Regimental Secretary at the Royal Gibraltar Regiment to Major (Retd) Dean Castrey.

Building the Next Generation of Recce Soldiers 🧭⚔️
The 1 RRF Recce Cadre has concluded at Longmoor Training Area, qualifying 13 soldiers as light reconnaissance patrolman.
The cadre covered core recce fundamentals including fieldcraft, navigation, AFV recognition, CTRs, OPs, counter-UAS SOPs, contact drills, and a summative FTX — building the foundation required to operate forward, unseen, and informed.
The course also included members of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, strengthening links and sharing experience across both regiments.
Strong effort from all involved and congratulations to those who passed.

CSgt Field successfully completed a demanding but highly valuable 3-week Quartermaster course, covering duties and responsibilities up to Regimental Quartermaster (RQ) level. Training included extensive use of MJDI for stores, accounting, and ammunition management, covering both electronic and manual procedures.
The course also included guest lectures from Army HQ on logistics and the wider G4 environment.

LCpl McGrail, Billing, Hassan and Nacimiento have completed the PNCO Cadre in Otterburn and been promoted to Lance Corporal after a demanding 5-week course building leadership, command and fieldcraft skills.
Cpl Birkett has completed the Section Commander’s Battle Course at Brecon and been promoted to Corporal, demonstrating strong performance in advanced infantry tactics and section command.
Sgt Cooper and Sgt Drake have completed the Platoon Sergeants Battle Course and been promoted to Sergeant, proving their ability to lead in complex, high-intensity environments.
All now return to G Company to take up their new appointments 👏
