On Sunday, the Councillor's office, in collaboration with The Bakau District Scouts , conducted a massive cleaning exercise around the Independence Stadium in Bakau. Thank you to all the volunteers who came out to make our community cleaner and greener! 🌍🧹

On Saturday, the Councillor's office organized a community cleaning exercise aimed at preparing for the rainy season and combating malaria. The event saw enthusiastic participation from young people in the community, demonstrating their commitment to creating a healthier and cleaner environment for all.

The ceremony held in our community to lay the foundation stone for the Kanifing Municipal Road Network Project (KMRNP) signifies the commencement of a 300 million Dalasi initiative aimed at improving local transportation.

The presence of Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda and various stakeholders highlights a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents. With the support of the Longjian Road and Bridges Company, we anticipate substantial progress towards community development.

We would like to remind you that Hon Binta Janneh pledged during her election campaign in 2023 to provide the community with access to good feeder roads. We are pleased to inform you that her promise has been kept.

Yesterday, our Honorable Councillor Binta Janneh Jallow had the honor of presenting a certificate of appreciation to LARRY S. KACHER FAMILY FOUNDATION, in recognition of their significant contributions and unwavering support towards empowering the youth and enhancing the lives of people living with disabilities in the community.

Today, we are delighted to share that the esteemed Councillor Binta Janneh Jallow and LARRY S. KACHER FAMILY FOUNDATION, graciously extended a helping hand to 25 individuals with disabilities by generously donating food items to them. It is heartening to see leaders like the Councillor and philanthropic organizations like the LARRY S. KACHER FAMILY FOUNDATION come forward to support vulnerable members of our community.

Earlier today, the esteemed councilor Binta Janneh Jallow demonstrated her commitment to empowering young women by awarding scholarships to 16 deserving girls from Bakau Newtown Fajara ward. The scholarships, which were generously provided by the LARRY S. KACHER FAMILY FOUNDATION, will enable these promising young women to pursue their dreams of becoming skilled hairdressers and cosmetologists at the prestigious Vicky Training and Skill Center. This initiative is a shining example of the positive impact that can be achieved when individuals and organizations come together to invest in the education and career development of our youth.
