The SG of the UDP Students’ Wing Lamin Manneh, alongside Binta Senghore and Jarai Fayinke, are currently in Ankara, Turkey, as part of a delegation representing the United Democratic Party (UDP) National Youth Wing at the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) World Congress in Istanbul, Turkey.

The delegation joins youth leaders from across the globe to engage in meaningful dialogue under the theme: “Democracy Under Pressure: Youth, Social Justice, and Political Alternatives in Africa.” Their participation reflects the UDP’s strong commitment to youth inclusion, democratic values, and progressive political engagement at both continental and global levels.

Through this engagement, the delegation will share perspectives, exchange ideas, and strengthen international networks aimed at advancing social justice, good governance, and sustainable political alternatives for Africa.

#𝐈𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐘 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐌

This is what prevails in a country when selfish people are in charge of its affairs. What local industries are there to protect? None, of course, because Jah Oil does not produce cement, he imports and bags it here in The Gambia. The government is not being truthful to Gambians because they are giving the impression that this is protectionism to protect infant industries, instead of a monopoly.
