WE STAND WITH THE GAMBIA AND WE STAND WITH Yanks Darboe

We stand firm with Yankuba Darboe. That position hasn’t changed, and it won’t be shaken by recycled arguments from those who traded principle for position. The struggle is not new, and neither are the faces trying to rewrite it for their own gain.

If you truly believe in what is right, then stand up and join the fight for electoral integrity. If not, silence is a better option than defending the indefensible.

As for Demba Sabally! his record already speaks louder than any response we could give. We’re focused on the mission, not distractions.

URGENT WARNING TO SEFO MONDO

We are closely monitoring the developments in Bafuloto Village, Brikama North, regarding the ongoing voter registration process.

It has come to our attention that there are serious allegations that a new stamp has been created and assigned to an unauthorized individual to issue attestations for non-Gambians and possibly underage persons—bypassing the authority of Alkalo Tapha Saidy. This action, if true, is a direct violation of electoral laws and a threat to the integrity of our democratic process.

Let this serve as a clear and firm warning:

Any attempt to manipulate voter registration by approving ineligible individuals—whether foreign nationals or minors—will not be tolerated. Such actions undermine public trust, weaken democratic institutions, and may carry serious legal consequences.

We urge you to immediately cease any involvement in these alleged activities and respect the lawful procedures established for voter registration. The authority of the recognized Alkalo must not be overridden through unauthorized means.

Be informed: the situation is under close observation, and any confirmed wrongdoing will be documented and escalated to the appropriate authorities without hesitation.

The integrity of this election is non-negotiable.
We will defend it—lawfully, firmly, and without compromise.

PRESIDENT BARROW USING NPP STUDENTS WING AS A TOOL TO MANIPULATE VOTERS REGISTRATION IN CRR!

We are closely monitoring ongoing activities related to student mobilization in CRR.

Reports indicate that schools have been asked to send 14 students and 1 teacher each to Wasu this afternoon. Given the sensitivity of voter registration, we urge all stakeholders to strictly adhere to the laws and regulations governing eligibility, especially age requirements.

We have deployed observers to the area to monitor the situation and ensure that the process remains free, fair, and transparent. Any irregularities observed will be documented and reported to the appropriate authorities.

We call on all parties to act responsibly and uphold the integrity of the electoral process.

UDP KOMBO SOUTH RESPONSE TO NPP STATEMENT ON TANJI REGISTRATION ALLEGATIONS

The United Democratic Party (UDP) Kombo South categorically rejects the attempt by the National People’s Party (NPP), through its Deputy Spokesman Seedy SK Njie, to dismiss the serious allegations surrounding the Tanji voter registration incident.

This matter cannot be trivialized or concealed through a press statement. The individuals at the center of the incident are publicly known within political circles in Tanji for their association and activism with the NPP. Their connection is neither speculative nor hidden, and credible evidence exists which can be presented before the appropriate authorities.

It is therefore both reasonable and necessary to question the circumstances under which senior NPP figures, including Seedy SK Njie himself, were present at the police station if, as claimed, the party has no involvement in the matter. Such contradictions only deepen public concern and warrant further scrutiny.

UDP Kombo South calls on the Gambia Police Force and the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) to conduct a thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation into these allegations. Any individuals found culpable—regardless of political affiliation—must be held fully accountable under the law.

We further emphasize that this incident is not isolated. Similar patterns of alleged irregularities have been reported in multiple locations across the country, and we maintain that documented records of such activities exist and can be submitted for independent review.

The integrity of the electoral process is non-negotiable. Attempts to undermine it, whether through unlawful registration practices or misinformation, pose a direct threat to democracy and must be confronted with seriousness and urgency.

UDP Kombo South will continue to closely monitor the situation and ensure that the will of the Gambian people is protected.

Signed:
Bala-Musa Jaiteh
Secretary, UDP Kombo South

DEFAMATORY FALSEHOODS AND DELIBERATE MISINFORMATION AGAINST BRIKAMA AREA COUNCIL..... (Established by the high court)

The Brikama Area Council (BAC) has exercised restraint throughout the duration of the recent high-profile court proceedings involving grave allegations of murder and terrorism, out of respect for the rule of law and the sanctity of the judicial process.

Now that the court has conclusively acquitted and discharged Ousainou Bojang and Amie Bojang, the truth has emerged in unmistakable terms: the prosecution’s case has collapsed under the weight of falsehoods, contradictions, and baseless claims.

BAC states, without hesitation, that the allegations linking the Council to acts of terrorism and the killing of police officers were fabricated, malicious, and deliberately orchestrated to mislead the public.
Even more alarming is the reckless attempt to drag the Office of the Chairman into this matter by falsely alleging that individuals connected to the alleged crimes were part of his security apparatus. These claims were not only false but represent a calculated effort to damage the reputation of the Chairman and the institution he leads.

Furthermore, certain individuals went as far as publicly asserting—without a shred of evidence—that an alleged suspect was an employee of BAC and had participated in disturbances in Banjul. These statements were outright lies, irresponsibly propagated without verification, and clearly intended to inflame public sentiment against the Council.

The Brikama Area Council considers these actions to be grossly defamatory, politically motivated, and an abuse of public trust. The attempt to associate BAC with terrorism and murder is not only dangerous but unacceptable in any democratic society.

Let it be made unequivocally clear:
BAC will not tolerate the weaponization of falsehoods against its institution.
The Council is therefore taking immediate steps to seek comprehensive legal redress against all individuals and actors who played a role in spreading these damaging falsehoods. Every person who used their platform to misinform the public and malign BAC will be held accountable under the full force of the law.

What has transpired raises serious concerns about the abuse of state machinery and the deliberate dissemination of misinformation to achieve political ends. The pattern of events strongly suggests a coordinated attempt to implicate BAC and, by extension, undermine its leadership and political affiliations.

BAC remains resolute and unshaken. We will vigorously defend our integrity, protect our reputation, and pursue justice without fear or compromise.
The people of The Gambia deserve truth but not manipulation. They deserve better leadership—not deception or lies.
The fight against falsehood and injustice continues, and BAC will see it through to the very end.
