Copra Growers and Producers Urgent Call to The Honourable Minister For Agriculture !!!
1. KIK board is still Interim since its inception.
The act involved in appointment of grower representatives to the board calls for nominees from coconut/cocoa growers associations .
This is an old act formerly used CMB, ( Copra Marketing Board of PNG).
Today the Growers Associations do not exist.
*** We demand immediate attention to this issue.****

Momase Region does not have any representation on the current KIK Interim Board.

We call on the power house leaders of Momase like the Governor of East Sepik and the Member for Madang, Honourable Allan Bird and Brian Kramer extend our cry to the floor of the Parliament.

Our demands are,
1. Three (3) representatives for Momase region provinces,
2. Chairman's Post to be held by Grower representative from Madang.

On behalf of the coconut growers and producers in the Momase Region I must the Government of Papua New Guinea and the Minister Responsible for Wok Didman that there is literally nothing, nothing , nothing happening in our Region with coconut tree .

KIK board came about simply because there is potential to develop other marketable products from coconut tree apart from the traditional copra.

Copra farmers are still producing copra since the inception of the KIK Board.
KIK Boad is funded by levies collected monthly from buyers/exporters from our copra.
This money was supposed to go into our copra pricing.

We supposed to have remained as Copra Marketing Board.
What a Mistake.
