The refugee numbers in Greece Greece currently hosts 62 407 refugees and asylum seekers. According to the Greek Asylum Services and the application for asylum that have been filed since 2013, the largest refugee groups that applied for asylum in Greece are from Syria, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
