President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali joined bank officials and regional leaders for the commissioning, highlighting the investment as a strong vote of confidence in Bartica's future and Guyana's continued growth.

An ATV bike donated by the Ministry of Health was officially handed over to the Wax Creek Health Centre and received by Community Health Worker, Nallis Williams.

Parapet enhancement works commenced today in Central Bartica as part of the Government's ongoing efforts to beautify and improve communities across Guyana.

Similar to the successful initiatives in Georgetown, these works will enhance accessibility, improve the environment, and create safer, more attractive public spaces for residents and visitors alike.

Today, President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, along with Senior Minister in the Office of the President with responsibility for Finance, Dr. Ashni Singh, handed over three brand-new machines to support the development and maintenance of Bartica, Region Seven.

This investment forms part of the Government's ongoing commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens.

As promised by His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Phase One of the street lighting initiative is underway, with 200 new street lights currently being installed in areas where street lighting never previously existed.

This initiative, led by the Regional Democratic Council (RDC), will enhance safety, security, and improve the quality of life for residents across the region.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Regional Democratic Council, Region Seven, wishes to inform the public that an individual from Dagg Point Village, Bartica was arrested on June 18, 2026, for the offense of littering.

Residents are reminded that improper disposal of waste is an offense that negatively impacts public health, blocks drainage systems, and contributes to environmental degradation and flooding. Let us all play our part in keeping our communities clean by disposing of garbage responsibly.

A cleaner Bartica starts with each of us. Do the right thing—don't litter.
