EU EOM to Guyana led by Chief Observer Robert Biedroń held an online roundtable with key national stakeholders on 10 December to discuss practical ways to implement the Mission’s recommendations from the Final Report.
We thank all participants for a constructive exchange. The Delegation of the European Union in Guyana will continue to follow up and support dialogue on concrete steps to advance these recommendations.

Members of the 🇪🇺 met with Ganesh Singh, Executive Director of the Guyana Council of Organisations for Persons with Disabilities (GCOPD), at the Mission’s offices in Georgetown. They discussed the Council’s accessibility audit of polling stations, the EU EOM’s recommendations on improving the participation of persons with disabilities, and the broader goal of more inclusive elections in Guyana. 🇬🇾.

The 🇪🇺Chief Observer Robert Biedroń met today with Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Guyana Hugh Todd and Minister Gail Teixeira, MP, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance, in Georgetown to present the Final Report on the 1 September General and Regional elections. The Chief Observer underlined that, by implementing the EU EOM recommendations, Guyana can become a trendsetter for well-run, transparent elections in the region 🇬🇾.

The 🇪🇺 core team and Chief Observer Robert Biedroń held a meeting with Amanza Walton-Desir - Forward Guyana Movement (FGM), at the Mission’s offices in Georgetown. They discussed the Final Report on the 1 September elections and exchanged views on the prospects of electoral reform and democratic processes in Guyana 🇬🇾.

Chief Observer Robert Biedroń and the 🇪🇺 core team met with representatives of APNU Coalition (APNU) in Georgetown earlier today. They shared the Mission’s key findings and 18 recommendations and exchanged views on how these could support future electoral reforms in Guyana 🇬🇾.

The final press conference of the 🇪🇺 was held today in Georgetown 🇬🇾. Chief Observer Robert Biedroń presented the Final Report on the 1 September 2025 general and regional elections, containing 18 recommendations - including six priority proposals - to strengthen future electoral processes 🗳

📢 The EU Election Observation Mission to Guyana 2025 , led by Chief Observer Robert Biedroń, has returned to 🇬🇾 to present its Final Report on the 2025 General and Regional elections.
This morning, at his first meeting following his arrival in Georgetown, Chief Observer Robert Biedroń had the honour of presenting the Final Report to the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM). The discussion focused on key recommendations to further strengthen future electoral processes and possible steps towards their implementation. 🗳️

With today bringing an end to the work of , we wish to thank the Government of Guyana for extending the invitation for the EUEOM to observe elections in Guyana. We also wish to thank the many Guyanese interlocutors for engaging with us over the past two months on aspects of the country's electoral process.
The Mission will publish its comprehensive final report in the upcoming months, which will include recommendations for improving Guyana's electoral process. Subsequent to this, members of the team will return to Guyana for a follow-up visit.
