Sawh, and Team monitoring Easter Day Celebrations at the Mabaruma Settlement Ground, Silver Hill, Green Park and Wauna Ground in No. 1 Sub-Division; Port Kaituma, Arakaka, Matthew’s Ridge and Baramita Centre Grounds in No. 2 Sub-Division; and Kumaka Centre Ground, Moruca, in the No. 3 Sub-Division.

CHURCH SERVICES HELD IN REGION NO. 1
On Good Friday 2023-04-07, Commander Region No. 1, Senior Superintendent H. Sawh; and other Ranks of the Mabaruma, Port Kaituma, Arakaka, Matthew’s Ridge, Baramita and Moruca Stations held Church Services to usher in the Easter Celebrations, and in Recognition of the need to have God’s Presence in the lives of Police and the people.
The Lord’s messages were read from the Holy Bible and officiated by Pastors from the various Station Districts.

COMMANDER AND RANKS OF REGION NO. 1 DISTRIBUTE KITES TO CHILDREN FOR EASTER CELEBRATION
On Sunday 2nd April, 2023, Commander Region No. 1, Senior Superintendent H. Sawh, and Ranks distributed kites to various youths across Region No. 1, particularly Mabaruma, Port Kaituma, Matthew’s Ridge, Arakaka, Baramita and Acquero.
The initiative was welcomed by Community Leaders from several communities and the ranks were highly praised for their efforts and support.
Commander Sawh encouraged the Children to be very cautious during the holidays and to fly their kites in open spaces far away from electrical wires and dangerous obstacles.

LECTURE DONE TO TEACHERS AND STIDENTS OF KAMWATTA PRIMARY SCHOOL
On 2023-03-31 between 09:00 hours and 10:00 hours, Corporal 16137 Farley; Constable 23727 Fredericks of the Traffic Department and Constable 25778 Tagepaul of the Immigration Department did a lecture to the Teachers and Students of Kamwatta Primary School where the following topics were discussed:-
1/ The use of a Guyana passport and how to acquire one;
2. Traffic signs, signals and road marking, how to used the road and color of clothes to be worn at night, improper use of bicycle and bicycle appliances;
3. The importance of education;
4. Disobedience of students towards Teachers;
5. The use of alcohol, ci******es and Narcotics by students and possibly penalties;
6. Child labour , child abuse and the difference;
7. Fighting and stealing in school and the Offences;
8. The Meaning of (NOC) New Opportunity Corps and the purpose.
On conclusion of the lecture several questions were asked by Teachers and Students and the appropriate answers were given. The students were advised by the Police that during the Easter holiday they must fly their kites away from electric wires also to stay away from drugs and alcohol and for them to engage themselves in meaningful activities such as sports.
In attendance were 26 Teachers and 159 Students.
The teachers and students appreciate the visit by the Police and urge the police to visit the school regularly, they were assured that Police will visit.

TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT DONE
On 2023-03-24 between 20:00 hours and 22:15 hours Regional Division # 1 Traffic Inspector, Mr. M. Craig; Subordinate Officer in Charge of Traffic Sergeant 18694 John; Lance Corporal 24189 Roopram; Detective Constable 22812 Sam and Constable 23898 Sam did a Traffic Enforcement in the Port Kaituma Station District, Port Kaituma N.W.D and the following cases were made: -
1. Unlicensed Driver-1;
2. Uninsured Motor Vehicle-1;
3. Unlicensed Motor Vehicle-1;
4. Uncertified Motor Vehicle-1;
5. Fail to carry ID mark(front)-1
