我哋相信，每個人都有權利去愛自己想愛嘅人，自由自在噉做最真實嘅自己。瑞典一直都非常重視人權同平等，早喺 1972 年就成為全球第一個可以合法更改性別嘅國家，仲喺 2009 年通過咗性別中立嘅婚姻法。🇸🇪

雖然我哋已經行咗好遠，但平等嘅路依然需要大家一齊努力。我哋希望每個人，無論喺邊度，都可以獲得尊重。

At the heart of a fair society is the belief that everyone should be free to be themselves and love whoever they want. Sweden has a long history of championing these human rights: from being the first in the world to allow legal gender changes in 1972, to establishing gender-neutral marriage in 2009. 🇸🇪

今日係歐洲日，紀念1950年5月9日簽訂《舒曼宣言》嘅簽署，確保戰後歐洲嘅長遠和平🕊️

👀 關於瑞典同歐盟，你又知幾多呢？以下係10個小知識：
🇸🇪🇪🇺 瑞典喺1995年透過公投加入歐盟，大多數瑞典選民投咗贊成票。
🇸🇪🇪🇺 喺2003年關於改用歐元嘅公投入面，過半數瑞典人投咗反對票，所以瑞典至今仲係用瑞典克朗（SEK）做貨幣。
🇸🇪🇪🇺 對瑞典公民嚟講，歐盟會員資格意味住可以喺其他歐盟國家讀書同工作，手續非常簡單
🇸🇪🇪🇺 面積方面，瑞典係歐盟第三大國家
🇸🇪🇪🇺 人口方面，瑞典排第十
🇸🇪🇪🇺 性別平等方面，瑞典喺歐盟自己嘅指數入面排第一

📰 世界新聞自由日 World Press Freedom Day (English below)

今日係世界新聞自由日，係聯合國於1993年創建嘅日子，旨在提高新聞自由嘅意識，並提醒世界各地政府尊重同提升言論自由

新聞自由建基於言論及表達自由，係大部份民主國家嘅基石。早喺1766年，瑞典就將新聞自由寫入憲法，係全球第一個咁做嘅國家。瑞典嘅《新聞自由法》清楚列明，當權者必需負責，而所有資訊都必需自由流通。法律保障提供資訊予出版社、編輯或新聞機構嘅線人身份，而記者亦不能被逼透露資料來源。

Today is the World Press Freedom Day. It was proclaimed by the UN in 1993 in order to enhance awareness of press freedom. It also acts as a reminder to governments of the need to respect their commitment to press freedom.

Freedom of the press is based on freedom of expression and speech – a cornerstone of most democracies. In 1766, Sweden became the first country in the world to write freedom of the press into its constitution. The Freedom of the Press Act states that those in authority must be held accountable and all information must be freely available. The law protects the identities of sources who provide publishers, editors or news agencies with information, and journalists can never be forced to reveal their sources.

Walpurgis Eve 瓦爾普吉斯之夜 🌸🔥 (English below)

今晚就係瓦爾普吉斯之夜，係瑞典春天嘅慶祝活動。大家會開心咁聚埋一齊，點起營火同唱歌，感受營火嘅溫暖之餘，亦都準備迎接日照更長嘅夏天蒞臨☀️

對於學生嚟講，瓦爾普吉斯之夜係慶祝同狂歡嘅好時節。喺Uppsala更有紮筏活動。參加者會自製木筏，喺河上面撐艇，臨尾仲會衝落個小斜坡，係考驗自己創意同手藝嘅好機會🛶

On 30 April, Sweden celebrates (Valborg in Swedish) with bonfires, songs and a strong sense of community. It’s a magical evening to gather, feel the warmth of the fire, and welcome brighter days ahead ☀️

For students, Valborg is also a night of lively festivities. In Uppsala, the tradition goes even further with a thrilling river rafting event! Participants craft their own rafts, row through the city’s river, and even take on a small slope — a true test of creativity and craftsmanship 🛶🔥

我哋好高興早前邀請到瑞典喜劇演員及棟篤笑藝人莫悅玲Evelyn訪港。Evelyn遠道而來，為今年嘅歐洲電影節揭幕。佢喺開幕電影《舞惱俱樂部》入面飾演俱樂部嘅其中一員，受孤獨及其他精神問題困擾，演技精湛👏

Evelyn嘅爸爸係香港人，所以佢同香港甚有淵源，對於今次可以返屋企亦都非常興奮。趁佢難得訪港，我哋梗係要一盡地主之誼，畀佢體驗吓香港文化啦！記得留意我哋嘅社交媒體，睇吓佢究竟試咗啲咩喇🎥

We were excited to host Swedish actress and stand-up comedian Evelyn Mok in Hong Kong 🇭🇰

Evelyn was here for this year’s European Union Film Festival, which is opened by The Dance Club, a Swedish comedy that deals with mental health issues. She plays the role of an empathetic but lonely patient, and delivered a memorable performance👏

Evelyn has Hong Kong roots and was thrilled to come home. While she was here, we made sure to let her experience the local culture in depth. Stay tuned to our social media to find out what she tried out! 🎥
