【About Dr. Caroline Herbert】
Dr. Carolina works at the meeting point of human resilience, creativity, and collective care.

A PhD Arts Psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, educator and organisational consultant, she has spent over 25 years supporting humanitarian systems and leaders navigating complexity, crisis, and profound uncertainty. Her work weaves together trauma awareness, expressive arts, and nature-based practice to create spaces where individuals and organisations can remain grounded, responsive, and connected under pressure.

Across global contexts, she has guided the development of leadership, staff care, and psychosocial programmes that honour both the realities of suffering and the human capacity for meaning, coherence, and renewal. Carolina worked in Cambodia running a Center for Creative Arts Therapy for over 20 years with The Ragamuffin Project and has worked extensively across Asia creating training programmes that meet local needs.

As Founder of Alkimia CIC and the visionary behind Blue Pearl—the UK’s first nature-inspired Expressive Arts: Therapy and Leadership Institute—her work explores how creativity, embodiment, and relational awareness can reshape how we lead, care, and act in a rapidly changing world.

晴天復元中心的義工合力為鋼琴換上新裝。他們為鋼琴和琴椅粉刷雪白的底色，再畫上中式花紋圖案，並以細碎的筆觸，逐點填滿空隙。除了需要繪畫技巧，更考驗體力，要踎低彎腰，遷就圖案的位置。

煥然一新的鋼琴變得色彩繽紛，更有活力，一同欣賞他們的心血結晶吧🤩

[心之悅 – 創作分享]

這次創作的主題是食物。由黏土製作而成的美食，雖不能滿足口腹之慾，但能帶來創作的快樂。參加者小心翼翼地在蛋糕🍰上放置水果，並設計精緻的擺盤，令人垂涎欲滴 🤤。

「俾你睇吓，琴日 art in hospital 啲相呀。」復康病房經理 C 把她手機拍下來的相傳給我看。

「嘩！咁勁嘅！攬住個公仔都咁專心畫得咁好！」我的確有點被震撼了！

相中的婆婆原來已經 97歲了，無兒無女，亦沒有什麼大病，一直獨居於社區裏。最近記性應該差了很多，又經常跌倒，故此被不時關顧她的朋友送入醫院。她在復康病房裏經常胡言亂語，大喊大叫，狀態甚為混亂，同事便讓她抱着嬰孩娃娃，讓她冷靜一點。

Doll therapy 對某些有認知障礙或紊亂的長者，是有不俗的效果。

「佢好嘈好亂，我諗住俾個機會佢，咪叫個同事帶埋個B俾佢入去畫畫囉。估唔到佢做藝術家咁有氣質！」病房經理 C 娓娓道來。

又真的沒錯！婆婆左手抱着BB 娃娃，右手拿着畫筆點在紙上，雙眼全神貫注投入在畫畫中。若不是經理先告訴我她的情況，怎能想像她在有病房內有紊亂！

這是最近我們跟藝術在醫院 Art in Hospital 的合作，每周他們的藝術家都會到我們病房來，跟病友們畫畫。

別以為老友記就不能或不懂藝術，其實只是有沒有這個機會而已。原來很多老友記連番口中說：自己老啦，未做過呀，唔識呀。。。但拿着畫筆卻是畫得有板有眼。加上藝術家從旁指導和鼓勵，大家的畫作都很不錯。最重要是老友記都玩得很開心，而且很有滿足感。

「我覺得呢個真正藝術在醫院！」經理C有感而發。

能夠為院友安排多元化而有效用的活動，真正很有滿足感，而且令人鼓舞。真的不要忽略和低估老友記的各種可能性，樂活銀齡，或許就是這個意思。

在此亦要多謝藝術在醫院跟我們合作，才能讓在病房中的老友記受惠。

每位參加者的「小花園」各有特色🌼，既有粉紫色調的夢幻花海，亦有藍天白雲下的繽紛燦爛。還有參加者聯想到自己的經歷，繪畫了星空下出淤泥而不染的蓮花。

[心之悅 – 創作分享]

許多參與者都是繪畫新手，難免拘束和戰兢。在導師引導下，他們漸漸放開手腳，盡情表達所思所想。

M.L. 分享自己起初對畫畫一竅不通，但在藝術工作坊中愛上繪畫，更没想到展覽期間竟然有小朋友興奮地與自己的作品合照 📸，令她感到鼓舞。
