Mass for the Homeland 🇭🇷

On Sunday, 31 May 2026, a Mass for the Homeland was held at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in London to mark Croatia’s Statehood Day, as well as the Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia and Croatian Army Day. The Mass was celebrated by Fr Ljubomir Šimunović, Head of the Croatian Catholic Chaplaincy in London and Delegate for Croatian Pastoral Care in Western Europe, together with Dr Ante Vidović, Deputy Head of Mission at the Apostolic Nunciature in London.

Following the Mass, Davor Ljubanović, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to the United Kingdom, addressed those present and extended his congratulations on the occasion of Croatia’s Statehood Day. In his remarks, he thanked Croatian war veterans, members of the diplomatic service and the Croatian diaspora for their contribution to the establishment and international recognition of the Republic of Croatia. He also acknowledged the role of the Croatian Catholic Chaplaincy in London in preserving Croatian identity and supporting the Croatian community in the United Kingdom.

The event also featured a performance by the Youth Choir of the Croatian Catholic Chaplaincy in London, conducted by Terezija Štimec, MMus.

Celebrating the Opening of Croatia’s Museum of Illusions in London 🇭🇷🇬🇧

The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia was delighted to be present at the opening of the Museum of Illusions London in central London.

We were especially pleased to meet the founders, Tomislav Pamuković and Roko Živković, together with Damjan Geber, Daria Jelavić, and the entire team behind this remarkable Croatian success story.

Since opening its first museum in Zagreb in 2015, the Museum of Illusions has grown into the world’s largest and fastest-growing chain of privately owned museums, now present in more than 70 cities across the globe and welcoming over 25 million visitors worldwide.

It was an unforgettable and entertaining evening for all generations, accompanied by Croatian products generously sponsored by Adriatic UK Ltd.

Hrvatska kao ponosna članica Europske unije dio je zajednice koja našim građanima donosi sigurnost, prilike i snažniji glas u svijetu, uz čvrstu pripadnost civilizacijskim vrijednostima koje dijelimo. Hrvatska sudjeluje u oblikovanju zajedničkih odluka i određivanju smjera kojim 🇪🇺 ide.

Europska unija nije samo institucionalni okvir, ona je u Hrvatskoj vidljiva u svakodnevnom životu – u novim školama, dječjim vrtićima i bolnicama, u cestama i mostovima, u obnovljenim zgradama i gospodarskim projektima koji razvijaju sve krajeve 🇭🇷 i podižu kvalitetu života naših građana i gospodarstvenika. To je Europa koja nije daleka, nego prisutna u stvarnim promjenama koje ljudi svakodnevno vide i osjećaju.
