Citadelle Laferrière: since 1806

Citadelle Laferrière Citadelle Laferrière had been built by Henry Christophe in from 1806 to 1820 in the north of Haiti, Milot, Cap Haitien.

It is the largest fortress in the Americas and was designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Heritage Site in 1982.
