One of our teachers will be taking on a very special challenge next weekend: running 80 kilometres from Esztergom to the Hungarian Parliament in Budapest in support of a charitable initiative that helps create educational opportunities for young people.
While this is a personal project taking place outside of school, we are always proud to celebrate members of our community who use their talents, passions, and time to make a positive impact beyond the classroom.
The run will finish at one of Budapest’s most iconic locations, Kossuth Lajos Square, in front of the Hungarian Parliament, on 14 June at 12:00 pm.

What a fantastic House Day for our Primary School students!
Students took part in a range of sports, creative, and intellectual challenges as they moved through the stations with their classes. At each station, they worked in their house teams, earning points through teamwork, effort, and problem-solving. 🔴🔵🟡🟢
It was great to see so much house spirit throughout the day, with students cheering each other on and giving every challenge their best shot. Congratulations to Margit Mammoths for finishing in first place and winning this year's House Day competition! 🏆🥳

'At our school, many teachers are involved in inspiring personal projects outside the classroom, and we always love seeing members of our educational community pursue meaningful initiatives.

One example is , a personal charity project led by one of our teachers in support of Heartfelt English, where he will attempt to run 80 km from Budapest to Esztergom to help raise funds and awareness for students from children’s homes. 🤩✨

While this is an independent initiative organised personally by the teachers involved, we are always happy to celebrate and support projects that reflect values such as empathy, effort, and community spirit.

Our 1st Grade students have been learning about the butterfly life cycle in STEM, and our 2nd Grade students helped bring this learning to life by guiding them through the real process of raising Painted Lady butterflies.

From tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies, our students have cared for them every step of the way during the past 4 weeks. 🌿✨

Because science is best learned when it’s experienced. 💛

Our Grade 7 and 8 students had an incredible time last week during their PE trip to Greece. 🇬🇷
Throughout the trip, they participated in a wide range of exciting activities, including visits to the beach and pool, exploring the waterfalls and natural pools at the foot of Mount Olympus, hiking, and visiting historic fortresses. 😎
They also enjoyed experiencing the delicious Greek cuisine and local culture.

Most importantly, the students strengthened their friendships, built lasting connections, and created many unforgettable memories together! 🤩

Two teachers at the International School of Budapest, Mr. Juan (Primary) and Ms. Agota (Secondary), have joined forces to launch Miles for the Heart, a charity project supporting Heartfelt English.
The initiative will culminate in an 80 km run from Budapest to Esztergom to help raise funds for students from children’s homes.
