Having steered several of Norway’s most successful wine companies, Kristin combines a strategic business mind with a veteran palate refined by years of global exploration. Her judging philosophy centres on structural integrity and authenticity—valuing wines that stay true to their origins while showing impeccable craftsmanship. For Kristin, a great wine is more than just a product; it is a testament to the people and the passion behind the label. She is thrilled to bring her perspective to the table and help spotlight the standout expressions in this year’s selection.

Sommelier, wine writer, wine sales person, off-trade - Poland ✏️

Łukasz Ostrowski, PhD, WSET3, wine journalist and salesman. Graduated in sociology and social anthropology, after 14 years of academic career changed his professional way. Co-worker of Polish wine media "Magazyn Wino" (2015–2018) and "Ferment" (2018–2019) now publishes in "Trybuszon" – a new Polish wine magazine.

Import, on-trade, Owner of Qwine wine shop - Belgium ✏️

Qwine is a Belgian company importing and distributing Hungarian wines since 2012, also regularly organizing tastings and wine events across Belgium. Its mission is to increase the recognition and appreciation of Hungarian wines! Founder Thomas is passionate about Hungarian wines and frequently travels through Hungary to discover unique and high-quality wines for a growing customer base. He is certified sommelier and also works as a manager at a Telecom company. With a Hungarian father, Belgian mother, and Austrian birthplace, he brings a truly international background to Qwine.

🥂 Meet the Jury - Georgi Panayotov 🥂

Import, on-trade, off-trade, Co-owner, The Jolly Merchants - United Kingdom ✏️

Georgi Panayotov is a wine professional and an UK importer from a winemaking family background in Bulgaria. Educated in the UK, he developed his commercial wine expertise at Majestic Wine, the UK’s largest specialist retailer, gaining extensive experience across retail, consumer trends, and wine education. He is one of the pioneers of Central and Eastern European wines in the UK, introducing and championing these regions through his company The Jolly Merchants. He works closely with small, independent craft producers across Central and Eastern Europe, with a focus on indigenous varieties, authenticity, and contemporary winemaking. Over the past years, he has played a key role in reshaping perceptions of the region, highlighting indigenous grape varieties, contemporary styles, and quality-driven winemaking.

Sommelier, Vice President, Serbian Sommelier Association - Serbia ✏️

Marija Radović is Vice President of the Serbian Sommelier Association and a Spanish wine educator, currently pursuing the WSET Diploma. With a background that brings together economics and philology, she combines analytical thinking with a strong sense for culture and communication. Marija is also a certified olive oil sommelier, expanding her expertise in sensory analysis beyond wine. Through her work in education and international projects, she is dedicated to sharing knowledge, with a firm belief that continuous learning is key to both personal and professional excellence.

🥂 Meet the Jury - Adrian Andronache 🥂

Restaurant manager, head sommelier, wine consultant - Romania / Cyprus ✏️

Adrian Andronache is a wine professional specializing in restaurant management, sommellerie, and wine consulting. He holds the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and is a Certified Sommelier (CMS). He was named Best Young Sommelier of Cyprus 2019 and Runner-up Best Sommelier of Cyprus 2024. As Head Sommelier, he has curated wine lists, trained teams, and enhanced guest experiences through precise wine service. He actively participates in professional tastings and wine evaluation, with a strong focus on quality and wine culture.
