Nanomaterials Science and Engineering Research Society (NANO Research Society) is a Department Specialization Club of Engineering Faculty, Universitas Indonesia which concern for the field of Nanotechnology & Advanced materials study and research. This organization was founded on the basis of the Decree of the Ministry of Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 193/M/Kp/IV/2010 on
National Development Strategic Policy on Science and Technology 2010-2014 (Improved advanced materials research and nanotechnology) and UI Strategic Plan (Strategic Plan) 2012 on World-Class Research University on specialized research towards nanotechnology and genome technology. Our society concerned on Agenda 21 and National Sustainable Development. Using nanotechnology as our tools, we tend to create knowledge-based society on University across Indonesia by joining Nano World Indonesia as a Indonesia nano society network. Our concerned on Sustainable Development will be manifested to the implementation on awakening of the spirit of national technology commemoration day on the program named KNPN (Konferensi Nanoteknologi Pelajar Nasional) that will be held at Universitas Indonesia this year. Our Annual Programs:
Biweekly Discussion
Discussion of two weeks in each month of active, in Meeting Room lt. 3 Epigraph of Knowledge Center Library University of Indonesia. Discussion is equipped with Projector and screen. It is discussed that is associated with the brainstorm of scientific journals and the development of nanotechnology and scientific world of metallurgy and materials and metallographic observations in practice in the activities of MKC, the theme for Nanotechnology determined two weeks before the discussion begins.

NANO-SPAM (NANO-Strategic Partnership Annual Meeting)
Scientific discussions related to nanotechnology and the science of metallurgy and materials associated with departments that were invited, participants were students of metallurgy and materials engineering department and other departments both in scope and the scope of the engineering faculty of the university, other than that this symposium also invited lecturers and researchers to present results their research or provide a brief public lectures associated with the development of nanotechnology science. Commonly performed as an opening lecture symposium. Discussions conducted with the presentation of scientific papers related to the core-competence of each department are invited. Internal speaker for Nano-Club itself is just having the best paper in the year Bimonthly either Internal Symposium presentation on nanotechnology and materials science and metallurgy. discussion
only done once every year precisely each end of the year in which Bimonthly Internal Symposium has ended.
