🗓️ Pada 29 April 2026, Ketua Dewan Perwakilan Daerah Republik Indonesia Sultan Baktiar Najamudin menyampaikan pidato pada Sidang ke-612 Dewan Federasi Majelis Federal Federasi Rusia.

🇷🇺🇮🇩 Ketua menyatakan bahwa hubungan bilateral Rusia dan Indonesia terus berkembang secara dinamis dan memasuki tahap baru, yang ditandai dengan perluasan kerja sama dan penguatan hubungan kedua negara di tengah proses pembentukan tatanan dunia baru.

• I would say that Russia-Indonesia relations are very good now, very friendly. This year we have already celebrated the 76th anniversary of the establishment of our bilateral relations. This means that for quite a long time we have been friends and partners.

• I am very glad that last year, when President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto was in St. Petersburg, both leaders adopted the Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Russia and Indonesia. This means that cooperation between our countries is comprehensive. It includes everything: politics, military-technical cooperation, economy, education, science, sport and many other areas.

• I would like to remind once again that Russia is a very responsible and sustainable supplier of energy resources to the world. If Indonesia would like to be our partner in this field, we are very open.

• Regarding safety and security in the nuclear energy sector, we can assure our partners that the nuclear power plants Russia operates on its own territory, as well as those it builds abroad, are very safe. They rely on modern and proven technologies. It is also our principle to offer foreign partners only those technologies that are already used in Russia. Today, my country operates 11 nuclear power plants with 37 power units, and there have been no problems.

• If Indonesia would like to have cooperation in building and launching satellites, exchanging information, and any other kind of cooperation in outer space, we are ready and open.

💬 Valentina Matvienko: Kami berupaya mengembangkan hubungan dengan Indonesia secara bertahap dan berkesinambungan di semua bidang. Pada tingkat parlemen, kita memiliki kesempatan untuk membahas bagaimana kesepakatan-kesepakatan yang telah dicapai oleh para pemimpin kedua negara akan dilaksanakan.

🗓 On April 28, 2026, a reception was held to mark the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.

🇷🇺🇨🇳 The event was attended by Ambassador of Russia to Indonesia Sergei Tolchenov, Ambassador of China to Indonesia Wang Lutong, as well as diplomats from both embassies.

🎤 The program included a thematic quiz dedicated to the history and contemporary development of Russian-Chinese cooperation, as well as friendly karaoke featuring Russian and Chinese songs.

🤝 Guests were treated to traditional Russian cuisine.

👉 During his remarks, Ambassador Tolchenov spoke about the prospects for further strengthening Russia-Indonesia cooperation within the framework of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Russia and Indonesia, adopted in June 2025, and the Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Indonesia, signed in December 2025, as well as in the context of the current global economic situation.

💬 Ambassador Tolchenov said: «One of the main factors hindering global economic growth is the impact of illegal unilateral sanctions imposed by Western countries against Russia.

These coercive measures have damaged international supply chains, disrupted investment and trade flows, exacerbated debt-related challenges, and reduced access for many countries to goods, services, finance, and technology, thereby undermining the principles of a free market and fair competition».

🤝 The participants also discussed Indonesia’s food and energy security, as well as Russia’s contribution to strengthening these areas.

🇷🇺🇮🇩 The event was attended by cadets of the Defence Language Education and Training Centre of the Ministry of Defence of Indonesia, students from leading Indonesian universities, representatives of youth organizations and student associations, compatriots, and journalists.

🎙️Welcoming remarks were delivered by Ambassador of Russia to Indonesia Sergei Tolchenov and Head of the Russian House in Indonesia Nikita Shilikov.

💬 Ambassador Sergei Tolchenov: «On May 9, Russia together with all progressive humanity will mark the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory of the Soviet Union over N**i Germany. The significance of the Soviet Union’s Victory in the Great Patriotic War can hardly be overestimated in modern history.

Historical lessons must never be forgotten. We strongly condemn any attempts to justify or glorify N**ism and its monstrous crimes. We stand for genuine cooperation and mutual understanding among countries and peoples for the sake of peace, based on equality, mutual respect, and universal human values».
