George Chinnery was an English painter who spent most of his life in Asia. He was born on 7 January 1774 in London. He died on 30 May 1852 in Macao. He left London in 1802. He worked in India until 1825 and then he spent the rest of his life in Macao. He made his living principally as a portraitist, but his reputation now rests mainly on the pictures of Indian and Oriental life and scenery.

“Le Sacre de Napoléon peint par David” or the “Napoleon’s Coronation by David” is a painting completed in 1807 by Jacques-Louis David, the official painter of Napoleon. It was painted on a canvas measuring over 500 square feet. The painting is one of David’s most well-known works.
The Napoleon’s coronation was a spectacular coronation ceremony at Notre-Dame Cathedral.

The Mandrill is a primate closely related to the baboons. It s an Old World monkey and it is considered to be the biggest of all monkeys in the world today. The Mandrills are usually found in the rain forests of Africa in countries such as the Congo, Gabon, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.
Male Mandrill can weigh around 42 pounds to 82 pounds. The Mandrill can live up to almost 30 years.

Venus von Willendorf is one of the most famous archaeological finds in Austria, The 11 cm high sculpture was created around 25,000 B.C. It was found on August 7, 1908 during the excavation of palaeolithic remains of a settlement at Willendorf in the Wachau region, Austria. The sculpture was made of limestone.

NEW ZEALAND 1992 CARTOON, $10 HEDGEHOG & SWINGS USED PHONE CARD
Hedgehogs were first brought to New Zealand by acclimatisation societies to remind settlers of their homeland. They were later introduced in greater numbers to control garden pests such as slugs, snails and grass grubs. Today, hedgehogs are abundant throughout New Zealand. They now pose a significant threat to many of New Zealand native species.

The hedgehog is a small nocturnal mammal, grey-brown in colour with its back and sides entirely covered with spines. They are 150-250mm in overall body length and reach a maximum of around 1kg, but their weight can drop dramatically during winter hibernation.
