We have opened appointments for marriage registration.

If you want to register your marriage in Portugal, you must have all necessary documents before booking an appointment.

Required documents:

- ID Card or Passport of both spouses (the Portuguese spouses must bring their Portuguese Citizen Card, if one of them is not Portuguese, he/she, must present his/her foreign passport);
- A marriage certificate issued less than six months ago duly legalized and apostilled (if issued in other language than Portuguese, Spanish, French or English it must be translated to one of these languages); We do not accept Digital apostille.
- Only for those that may have a Prenuptial agreement: if you have any, it must be duly legalized and apostilled (if issued in other language than Portuguese, Spanish, French or English it must be translated to one of these languages); This only applies for those that have prenuptial agreements. We do not accept Digital apostille.
- Unabridged birth certificate if any of the spouses is a foreign citizen, duly legalized and apostilled (if issued in other language than Portuguese, Spanish, French or English it must be translated to one of these languages); We do not accept Digital apostille.
- Please bring this form (check our website, tab marriages) duly completed.
We do not accept Digital apostille.

Please note that if you do not bring all required documents to your appointment your process will not be accepted.

Today we celebrate the Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities. It is a day when we look at our history, our language and the people who, anywhere in the world, carry Portugal in their hearts.

June 10th was chosen for Portugal National Day because it marks the death of the poet Luís Vaz de Camões in 1580, who is considered the greatest symbol of Portuguese literature and language.

On this day we pay tribute not only to the poet and the nation, but also to our collective identity and the Portuguese around the world.

Today, we celebrate YOU!

Hoje celebramos o Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades Portuguesas. É um dia para refletirmos sobre a nossa história, a nossa língua e as pessoas que, em qualquer parte do mundo, levam Portugal no coração.

O dia 10 de junho foi escolhido para o Dia Nacional de Portugal por assinalar a morte do poeta Luís Vaz de Camões, em 1580, considerado o maior símbolo da literatura e da língua portuguesa.

Neste dia, prestamos homenagem não só ao poeta e à nação, mas também à nossa identidade coletiva e aos portugueses de todo o mundo.

We will not receive anyone without an appointment and, today Monday, no Israeli criminal records, updates of Citizen Card addresses or Digital Mobile Key will not be taken care of.

Arrive only 5 minutes prior to your allotted slot. Do not arrive too early as we will not allow you in;

The bunker/ miklat/garage is at minus 2 floor, with an entrance at the ground floor. The Embassy is on the 26th floor.

Portugal was elected today as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027-2028 term.

This election recognizes the work of the entire Portuguese diplomatic corps, Portugal's commitment to multilateralism, and the international community's confidence in Portugal's role as a promoter of dialogue, peace, and cooperation among peoples.

For the fourth time in our history, Portugal will have a seat on this United Nations body, assuming an active voice in responding to the complex challenges facing the international community.

Esta eleição reconhece o trabalho de toda a diplomacia portuguesa, o compromisso de Portugal com o multilateralismo a confiança da comunidade internacional no papel de Portugal como promotor do diálogo, da paz e da cooperação entre os povos.

Pela quarta vez na nossa história, Portugal terá assento neste órgão das Nações Unidas, assumindo uma voz ativa na resposta aos complexos desafios que a comunidade internacional enfrenta.

📌We have opened appointments for Citizen Cards (Cartão de Cidadão) with mobile digital key (CMD).

Please note that only persons that have already obtained the Portuguese nationality and have a Portuguese Birth certificate can request a Portuguese Citizen Card.

1)The online bookings can be done just by using Mobile Digital Key- Chave Móvel Digital (CMD).You can only see the free slots if you use CMD. Use a computer and a card reader, not your phone to book. Via Authentication and with a VPN. For instructions on how to use and obtain CMD check previous posts and our website. For problems with CMD look at the support line of Chave Móvel Digital. There are also plenty of support groups and videos in the internet explaining how to create and use the CMD.

2) We remind that if someone already as a Mobile Digital Key he or she can book for first degree relatives. That person can book for his children and parents.

Bookings are also accepted for brothers, sisters and wife or husband.

Proof of family link must be provided when arriving at the consular section on the appointment date, via birth certificates or marriage certificates.

Take note that besides these relatives no other booking with CMD for Citizen Cards will be accepted.

3) How to make an appointment for Citizen Cards?
You should make your appointment through the following link:

Choose the option "Documento de Identificação" and then "Cartão de Cidadão". To book for more than one citizen card in the same day you should indicate the respective number of "atos iguais". Please follow this link to see how to make an appointment.

4)Slots for first time citizen cards without CMD will be announced in the near future.

📌Abrimos os agendamentos para o Cartão de Cidadão com a Chave Móvel Digital (CMD).

Atenção: apenas as pessoas que já possuam a nacionalidade portuguesa e certidão de nascimento portuguesa podem solicitar o Cartão de Cidadão.

1) Os agendamentos online podem ser feitos exclusivamente com a Chave Móvel Digital (CMD). A disponibilidade de horários só será visível utilizando o CMD. Utilize um computador e um leitor de cartões, e não o telemóvel, para agendar. Use a via da Autenticação e uma VPN. Para obter instruções sobre como utilizar e obter a CMD, consulte publicações anteriores e o nosso website. Em caso de problemas com a CMD, contacte o suporte da Chave Móvel Digital. Existem também vários grupos de apoio e vídeos na internet a explicar como criar e utilizar a CMD.

2) Lembramos que quem já possui uma Chave Móvel Digital pode agendar para familiares de primeiro grau. Essa pessoa pode agendar para os seus filhos e pais.

As marcações também são aceites para irmãos, irmãs e cônjuge.

É necessário apresentar comprovativo de vínculo familiar no momento do comparecimento na secção consular, através de certidões de nascimento ou de casamento.

De notar que, para além destes familiares, não serão aceites outras marcações para o Cartão de Cidadão com CMD.

3) Como marcar uma marcação para o Cartão de Cidadão?

Deve marcar a sua marcação através da seguinte ligação:

Escolha a opção "Documento de Identificação" e depois "Cartão de Cidadão". Para marcar para mais do que um Cartão de Cidadão no mesmo dia, deve indicar o respetivo número de "atos iguais". Consulte esta ligação para saber como marcar uma marcação.
