The Animal Resources Development Department, Government of Tripura, today on 01.06.2026, launched the 8th Round of the Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) Vaccination Campaign under the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) at Dighalia Gram Panchayat, West Tripura.

The campaign was inaugurated by Shri Sudhangshu Das, Hon'ble Minister, ARDD, Fisheries & SC Welfare, reaffirming the State's commitment to strengthening animal health, enhancing livestock productivity, and safeguarding rural livelihoods.

Today, on 25.05.2026, Shri Sudhangshu Das, Hon’ble Minister of ARDD, Fisheries and SC Welfare, Govt. of Tripura, attended the Regional Review Meeting for the North Eastern Region conducted by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), Government of India (GoI), in Mizoram. He also addressed the meeting, highlighting Tripura’s initiatives and future roadmap in the Animal Resources Development and Fisheries sectors.

On 22nd May 2026, Shri Sudhangshu Das, Hon’ble Minister of ARDD, Fisheries & SC Welfare, Govt. of Tripura, inaugurated the newly constructed Veterinary Dispensary building at Madhupur, Bishalgarh, in the presence of Smt. Supriya Das Datta, Hon’ble Zilla Sabhadipati, Sepahijala District; Smt. Antara Sarkar Deb, Hon’ble MLA, 15 Kamalasagar A.C; Dr. N. K. Chanchal, Director, ARDD and other dignitaries.
The inauguration marks a step forward in strengthening veterinary healthcare services in the region.
