Skill training on Bamboo Mat based products under the MMDUP scheme ongoing at M/s Bhowmik Art & Crafts Industries, East Aralia. The training aims to enhance the skills of artisans and promote sustainable livelihood opportunities through bamboo-based craftsmanship.

A meeting with private bamboo nursery growers was conducted at the chamber of the Mission Director, Tripura Bamboo Mission, under the chairmanship of Sri Prasada Rao Vaddarapu, IFS, Mission Director, TBM, to understand the existing stock availability and the requirements of bamboo seedlings for upcoming plantation initiatives. The discussion focused on strengthening the bamboo ecosystem, ensuring the timely availability of quality planting materials, and promoting sustainable bamboo cultivation across the state.

Tripura Bamboo Mission staffs visited beneficiary plots at Dhanchandra VC under Durgachowmuhani RD Block. Meetings were also conducted with beneficiaries of Tulashikhar RD Block covering Purba Champacharra VC and Purba & Pachim Bachaibari VC regarding bamboo plantation activities under the DAJGUA project.

Today, a meeting was held at Circuit House, Belonia in the presence of Md. Sajad P., District Magistrate & Collector, South Tripura, officials from Water Resources Department, EE, PWD (WR), representatives from O/C Development Section, Officials of Tripura Bamboo Mission, technical personnel and contractors regarding development of the embankment areas of the Muhuri River under Belonia Subdivision through bamboo plantation for protection against soil erosion.
The meeting was followed by a joint field visit to Circuit House area, Ballamukha, Kasharicherra and Deogacherra to assess the proposed plantation sites and discuss implementation strategies on the ground.

Field visits are ongoing by Tripura Bamboo Mission staffs across different districts to monitor bamboo plantation activities under the DAJGUA scheme and nursery preparedness. The team visited bamboo nurseries at Simna, Katlamara, Kanchanpur Shantipur Ankita Bamboo Nursery, Joyshree, Kanchanpur Bamboo Nursery. Beneficiary plots were also inspected at Ashapurna Roaja Para VC and Maharanipur VC under Salema RD Block, Duski VC, South Hadrai VC under Teliamura RD Block, , along with various VC areas under Durgachowmuhani Block. 🌱🎋

TBM staffs conducted extensive field visits in mission mode covering Khamtingbari under Mandai RD Block, Durgachowmuhani Block, beneficiaries of Tulashikhar RD Block in Dhalai district, Maharanipur VC under Salema Block, and Ramgunapara VC under Pecharthal RD Block in Unakoti district for inspection and monitoring of bamboo plantation activities under the DAJGUA scheme. The team also visited bamboo nurseries in Khowai and Gomati districts to review sapling availability and nursery preparedness. 🌱🎋

The team also visited the bamboo nursery at Khowai to review nursery development and bamboo sapling availability.. 🌱🎋
