The 2-Day Awareness Programme on ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System commenced today at Smart Training Centre, IT Bhavan, Agartala.

Organized by the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, in collaboration with ETDC, STQC Directorate, Agartala, MeitY, Government of India, the programme aims to create awareness on quality management practices, standardisation, and process improvement for better institutional efficiency.

The Directorate of Information Technology organizes such initiatives from time to time to enhance capacity building, promote quality-driven governance, and strengthen digital administrative practices across departments.

The delegates who visited Tripura to participate in the Stakeholder Consultation Workshop on draft Tripura AVGC-XR policy 2026 organised by the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, called on Shri Pranajit Singha Roy, Minister for Information Technology, Finance, and Planning & Coordination, Government of Tripura, on 20th May 2026.
During the interaction, detailed discussions were held on strengthening the Orange Economy ecosystem in the State and exploring opportunities in Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR).

Shri Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary, IT, Government of Tripura, and Shri Jeya Ragul Geshan B, IFS, Director, IT, were also present during the discussion.

Tripura is working in line with the vision of PM Shri Narendra Modi to boost the Orange Economy under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha and IT, Finance & P&C Minister Shri Pranajit Singha Roy.

The Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, organised a Stakeholder Consultation Programme today on the Draft Tripura AVGC-XR Policy in Agartala, bringing together senior government officials, industry experts, academic leaders, founders, and key stakeholders from the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR) ecosystem.

The programme was graced by Shri Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary, IT, Government of Tripura. Shri Jeya Ragul Geshan B., IFS, Director, IT, Government of Tripura, highlighted the State’s vision for promoting creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development, and digital employment opportunities.
Senior officials, including Shri R.K. Samal, IFS, along with other dignitaries and departmental representatives, also participated in the consultation programme.

Distinguished experts, including Mr. Austin Davis, Head of Skill Development, NID and Member of the Task Force for the National AVGC Strategy; Mr. Manvendra Shukul, Member of the Board of Directors, IICT; Prof. Saikat Sekhareswar Roy, HoD, Editing, SRFTI; Mr. Anurag Khurana, CEO, Newgen Gaming Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Vishal Parekh, COO, CyberPowerPC; and Lt. Col. (Dr.) Soumya Prakash Otta, Director, STPI, shared valuable insights on the evolving AVGC-XR landscape and the opportunities it presents for Tripura’s youth and creative entrepreneurs.

The consultation served as a collaborative platform for discussions on skill development, startup promotion, cultural content creation, and youth-led innovation, with the objective of positioning Tripura as an emerging AVGC-XR destination in the Northeast under the broader vision of the Orange Economy.
