Indian intelligence agencies believe that the recent surge of violence in Bangladesh has been orchestrated by the ISI through a covert unit known as the “Dhaka Cell.” According to officials, this specialised cell was set up within the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka a few months ago, following a visit by Pakistan’s top military leadership.

The Dhaka Cell is reportedly tasked with radicalisation, terror grooming and large-scale destabilisation, with a broader agenda that goes beyond Bangladesh and is primarily aimed at India. Intelligence inputs suggest the unrest that followed the murder of student leader Sharif Osman Hadi was deliberately staged as part of a pre-planned operation.

Officials say the cell had been preparing for widespread unrest since October, waiting for the right trigger. The announcement of Bangladesh’s February 2026 elections is believed to have provided that opportunity. The strategy mirrors a similar ISI-backed operation previously run out of Pakistan’s High Commission in Sri Lanka, which was later dismantled by India’s NIA.

The Dhaka Cell is said to include senior Pakistan military officers, including a brigadier, colonel, majors, and personnel from the air force and navy. Intelligence sources describe it as part of a long-term ISI plan to reshape Bangladesh’s political direction following the ouster of Sheikh Hasina and the installation of the Muhammad Yunus-led caretaker government, with Jamaat-e-Islami playing a central role.

Experts believe Pakistan’s actions stem from unfinished resentment over the 1971 Liberation War, and that the ISI now sees Bangladesh as vulnerable enough to influence. The immediate objective is to fuel instability, ensure a favourable election outcome—or, failing that, delay the polls altogether.

Beyond Bangladesh, the ISI’s larger strategic goal is India, particularly West Bengal and the Northeast, where it aims to activate sleeper cells, push infiltrators across the border, and strain India’s security apparatus—especially ahead of West Bengal’s elections next year.

Indian security agencies say they are closely monitoring developments and prepared for escalation, acknowledging the challenge but expressing confidence in their ability to counter the threat.

Bangladeshis are the main region divided the country on the basis of religion in 1946. Genocide was committed against the Bengalis hindu of 1946. These Bangladeshis were the main culprits behind the devid of India….
Because the British first conquered all of India through Calcutta ….
They are the Bangladeshi who have destroyed all the Hindu cultures in Bangladesh,
They have already destroyed 60% of the culture of Chittagong, and they are trying to forcefully convert Muslims.

and now they want to destroy the North East of India. Wherever Bangladeshis go in the world, they are creating problems. Italy is currently being humiliated for Bangladesh. And they are planning to destroy many places in the North East of India.

TRIPURA

The former princely state of Tripura was ruled by Maharajas of Manikya dynasty. It was an independent administrative unit under the Maharaja even during the British rule in India, though this independence was qualified, being subject to the recognition of the British, as the paramount power of each successive ruler.
As per Rajmala, the royal chronology of Tripura, a total of 184 kings ruled over the state before it merged with the Indian Union on October 15 1949. Since then the history of Tripura has been interspersed with various political, economical and social developments. On January 26, 1950 Tripura was accorded the status of a ‘C’ category state and on November 1, 1956, it was recognized as a Union Territory. With the sustained efforts and struggle of the people of Tripura, it gained full statehood on January 21, 1972, as per the North-East Reorganisation Act, 1971. And democratic set-up got further stretched upto the village level in 1978 with election to the local bodies that ultimately culminated in the introduction of three-tier Panchayati Raj System.
On the other hand, for socio-economic development, preservation of language and culture of Tripura Tribal Areas, Autonomous District Council (ADC) was constituted in 1982 under the 7th Schedule of the Constitution and later on in 1985 it was brought under the 6th Schedule. The ADC in Tripura encompasses 68.10% of the state's total geographical territory and is home to roughly one third of the state's population. Once Tripura was a single-district state. Now keeping the administrative convenience in view, decentralization has been taken further ahead by forming eight districts, 23 subdivisions, 58 rural development blocks, 591 Gram Panchayats, eight Jilla Parishads, nine Nagar Panchayats, 10 Municipal Councils and 1 Municipal Corporation. In addition, 587 village committees are working as Gram Panchayats under 6th Schedule areas
