Seerat Committee is governed by a team of elected officials known as the Managing Committee. There is also an Advisory Board which participates in decision making on all policy matters. The Managing Committee comprises of highly qualified and well experienced professionals and retired govt. employees. The Advisory Board has well known personalities which include Medical Practitioners, Retired govt. employees, industrialists and lawyers. All team members are volunteers and serve without compensation. SPECTRUM OF SERVICES:

Seerat Committee started its mission with slogan “EK MUTHI AATAA” (handful wheat flour) in 1986. Its volunteers used to move door to door to collect wheat flour and were distributing the collected wheat flour among the most needy people. Today its activities expanded manifold which include help to widows, divorcees and deserted women, grocery kits to Iddat observing sisters, monthly grocery kits to aged unsupported couples, help in orphan marriages, providing income generating tools like sewing machines to Zakah deserving sisters, school fee to poor students, scholarships to students pursuing specialized courses etc. SEERAT MISSION:

Illiteracy is the mother of all problems as it gives birth to many other issues like poverty, unemployment, child labor, female foeticide, population burst and many more. So creating awareness about acquisition of modern knowledge occupies dominant place in Seerat Committee’s Mission Statement. Islam also stresses to acquire knowledge even if you have to travel to China. SEERAT VISION:

Supporting an orphan or poor boy/girl go to school can help him/her get off the streets and into a learning environment. Supporting a widow, divorcee or deserted woman earn her livelihood through her talents and skills.
• Indian Rs. 3000 can pay full term fee for primary/higher secondary student.
• Indian Rs. 6000 can provide one sewing machine or hand cart to a widow/divorcee or deserted woman and make her self- reliant.
• Indian Rs. 12000 can feed one aged unsupported couples for full year
