Wonderful news guys! Please share and impart as it's a matter of pride for all of us that has been listed among the top five districts in India for promoting initiatives. Acknowledging the commendable work by the district collector Gaurav Goyal he has been awarded 'Scroll of Honor' award by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday. The award was given for plethora of measures taken by the collector post demonetization to encourage cashless transactions and ensure law and order. The award was jointly given by Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India and NITI Aayog. Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was also present during the felicitation.

His initiatives included, but not limited to:
• Starting the process of making Ajmer and 26 villages in Pushkar as cashless.
• The biggest achievement he made was to active 3.5 lakh RuPay cards out of 5 lakh cards by activating the machinery in rural areas.
• Handling the world famous Pushkar fair as demonetization was announced amidst ongoing . He coordinated well with banks, hotels, guides and national and domestic tourists to maintain law and order.
