Nature Makes An Offering of Her Beauty... Shradhanjali is a handicraft unit of Auroville, the International Township located in rural Tamil Nadu.

Since inception it’s goals have been:
To gather the wealth of the natural world as expressed through flowers and foliage and convert this into beautiful paper products in a conscious and caring way. At each stage, the manufacturing process is characterized by a conscious intention to work harmoniously with Nature. To generate wealth for the growth of Auroville by doing business in an ethical, conscious manner. Profits generated by Shradhanjali are channeled back into the community for its maintenance and development. To provide a pleasant, stimulating, enriching, educative and empowering working environment for the young village girls it employs.

Every design tells a different story, brings to life a different perspective and vision of the people who designed it and those whose hands made it.

Sharing a series of designs in the same vein, with fresh leaves imprinted with paint onto rag-and-straw paper, and highlighted with accents lines of gold and silver foil.

_Our papaya leaf design brings summer vibes with its warm bright colours in layers of red tones._

_Our lily pond design reflects the calm of the water, with its ripples and plants and dragonflies flitting around._

The wood used is red cedar — strong and durable when taken care of — with its ochre colouring and smooth finish.

Rosalba Cicerelli has recently joined our Shradhanjali team.

She has lived in Auroville since 2008. Since then she has been fascinated by nature and flowers. This led to her connection with flowers through the Mother’s spiritual significances of flowers, Bach flower remedies, and finally the exploration of painting flowers to express their qualities.

Working in Shradhanjali she says has been like a blessing — to be surrounded by sensitivity towards nature, and to have the opportunity to share a drop of beauty along with the Shradhanjali team is very important for her at the moment.
