Indian National Congress Holds ‘Save Democracy, Save Constitution’ Protest at Naidkhai

Naidkhai, October 3, 2026:
The Congress unit Bandipora today held a “Save Democracy, Save Constitution” protest at Naidkhai, as part of Satyagraha Week.

The programme was organised under the directions of AICC and J&K PCC President Tariq Hameed Karra. The protest was led by DCC Bandipora President Advocate Sheikh Farooq Habeeb,along with DCC Vice President Inamul Haq Bhat, Block Presidents, DCC office-bearers and party workers.

A large number of Congress workers participated in the programme and raised slogans highlighting the importance of protecting democratic institutions, constitutional values and the rights of citizens.

The protest was held under the banner of the India Alliance,with participants reiterating their commitment to safeguarding the constitutional and democratic framework of the country.

The programme at Naidkhai was part of the wider Satyagraha Week activities being held by the Congress.

I am deeply grieved by the demise of Mr. Farooq Ahmad Tantray, father of my dear friend Mr. Arshid Ahmad Tantray.
A father is the quiet pillar of a household, and when that pillar falls, the void cannot be filled by words alone. Yet faith reminds us that every soul belongs to the Almighty, and to Him is the final return.
I convey my heartfelt condolences to Arshid Ahmad Tantray and his family. We stand beside them in grief and prayer.
May Allah pardon the departed, envelop him in His boundless mercy, and grant him the loftiest abode in Jannatul Firdaus. May He bless the family with Sabr-e-Jameel.
