BEML LTD. CMD Shri Shantanu Roy discusses the company's growth roadmap, strategic priorities, and outlook for FY 2026-27 in an exclusive conversation with Shri Anil Singhvi, Managing Editor, ZEE Business.

During the interaction, Shri Roy highlighted BEML's landmark performance in FY 2025-26, with the company achieving its highest-ever revenue, order book, capital expenditure, and R&D investments.

Despite the impact of certain one-time and legacy-related financial adjustments, BEML continued to strengthen its balance sheet while investing in future-ready capabilities, laying a robust foundation for sustainable long-term growth.

Looking ahead, Shri Roy shared an optimistic outlook for FY 2026-27, citing significant opportunities across the Metro, Defence, and Export segments. He also underscored BEML's highest-ever investment in Research & Development during the year, reinforcing the company's commitment to innovation, advanced engineering, and indigenous product development.

BEML LTD. proudly celebrated its 62nd Foundation Day across its Headquarters, manufacturing complexes at KGF, Mysuru, Bengaluru Rail Coach Complex, Palakkad, and offices across the country. Marking over six decades of contribution towards nation-building, the occasion reflected BEML’s collective aspiration to scale newer heights and emerge as one of the most valuable companies in the nation.

At the Bengaluru Headquarters, the celebrations were led by CMD Shri Shantanu Roy, joined by the Functional Directors and senior leadership team. Continuing the cherished tradition, BEML’s senior-most employee hoisted the BEML flag, symbolising the organisation’s enduring values and legacy. The event also featured meritorious recognitions for employees in acknowledgement of their dedication and contributions.

Addressing the BEML LTD. family, Shri Roy appreciated the relentless efforts of employees and warmly welcomed the new generation of talent bringing fresh ideas and an innovative mindset to the organisation. He urged everyone to continue working with the spirit of nation-building and contribute their best towards BEML’s upcoming projects and future growth journey.

On the occasion of BEML’s 62nd Foundation Day, we celebrate a legacy where heavy engineering has consistently carried significant national responsibilities. Over the decades, BEML has gone far beyond manufacturing machines — shaping urban mobility, strengthening defence preparedness, powering mining operations, and advancing indigenous manufacturing capabilities for a self-reliant India.

The past year has marked a defining chapter in BEML’s journey with landmark achievements reflecting India’s growing technological and manufacturing strength. From the rollout of India’s first indigenously developed Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, to the inauguration of our ADITYA rail complex by Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, supporting the nation’s future high-speed rail ambitions, BEML’s rail journey continues to gather momentum. Further strengthening this vision, the foundation of BRAHMA near Bhopal, laid by Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, reflects our commitment towards building future-ready manufacturing ecosystems for India’s mobility transformation.
