Throwback to 2019, when we carried water and hope.
Amidst a scorching summer and a deepening water crisis, we filled bird baths, brought life back to the trails of Turahalli forest, and helped revive the lake.

On World Nature Conservation Day 2025, the Cleanupturahalli team recommits to fostering a strong bond between nature and our communities, especially children.
Our April 2019 camp at Turahalli Tree Park for Bovipalya’s children was a meaningful step in raising awareness and encouraging conservation. By inspiring young minds, we plant the seeds for a sustainable future.
Let’s pledge to protect our forests, water, and wildlife every day.

Throwback to our plantation drive from June 2018! 🌱
Muddy hands and sweaty brows, the forest has a way of bringing together individuals of all ages.
As these 7-year-old saplings have grown and now stand tall, so do we!
Here's to roots that run deeper than the soil they’re in!

International Day of Forests 21 March 2024
It was no ordinary Sunday morning on 24th March 2024, as a rejuvenating nature walk was organised by KFD (Kaggalipura range) initiated by DCF (Urban) Ravindra Kumar Sir. The event was a huge success with around 350-400 nature enthusiasts attending the event (although the initial expected count was about 150 people). The attendees got to enjoy the beauty of the Turahalli Minor Forest after a long wait of nearly 4 years, as it was closed to the public during that period.
The event saw the attendance of people from across Bengaluru and across various age groups.
Ravindra Sir along with our chief guest Sri Nagesh Hegde Sir (https://www.iijnm.org/profile/nagesh-hegde/) joined the crowd for the walk.
The gathering enjoyed the motivating and insightful talk by the chief guest, Sri Nagesh Hegde Sir along with a short quiz session for the kids, who got a book each, as a gift for every right answer. It was amazing to see so many youngsters out there. The information given during the quiz session was extremely valuable for children and adults alike.
Mr. Purushotham from CMKR expressed his appreciation for the initiative and the great work done by the department, while Mr. Satyanarayan from Civil Defence (trained under Ministry of Home affairs) spoke about the contributions and safety measures taken by the team to be able to cater to the needs of the citizens during any disaster (fallen trees, traffic, flooding, fire etc) and also about the importance of public participation.
We do look forward to more such events in the future!
Once again, thank you all for your participation and continued support!
