Two newborns presenting with persistent, repeated vomiting were accurately diagnosed with congenital pyloric stenosis on ultrasound at MEDSCAN Diagnostic Centre, Baramulla.
Vomiting in infants is not always harmless — timely imaging can reveal serious but completely treatable conditions.
With early ultrasound detection, both babies were promptly managed and successfully treated with Ramstedt’s pyloromyotomy, the standard corrective surgical procedure. Following treatment, the infants recovered well and are expected to grow into healthy children.
