PDP Constituency Baramulla Strengthens Base as Dozens Join Party in Venkara Village

Baramulla, May 2026: The Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) witnessed a significant boost at the grassroots level as dozens of residents from Venkara village formally joined the party in a public outreach program held today.

The visit was organized on the invitation of local residents and was led by Mr. Yasir Naik, District Youth President PDP Baramulla. He was accompanied by senior party leaders Mr. G.M. Dar, Mr. Abdul Khaliq, Zonal Youth President Baramulla Mr. Hilal Ahmad, and Mr. Fazil.

The gathering saw enthusiastic participation from villagers, particularly youth, who expressed growing dissatisfaction with the current state of development in the area. On the occasion, the new entrants stated that despite previously supporting the National Conference, their village remained neglected, with basic issues such as infrastructure, road connectivity, and public services continuing to be ignored under the present administration.

Residents highlighted that repeated assurances by elected representatives failed to translate into tangible development on the ground. They noted that Venkara has been consistently overlooked, leading to frustration among the people, especially the younger generation.

The new members expressed confidence in PDP's leadership, stating that the party has been actively raising public issues and demonstrating a results oriented approach. They emphasized that PDP’s consistent engagement with grassroots concerns and its visible efforts to hold the administration accountable played a decisive role in their decision to join.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Yasir Naik welcomed the new members and reiterated the party's commitment to amplifying the voice of the people. He stated that PDP stands for accountability, transparency, and equitable development, and assured the residents that their concerns would be taken up at the appropriate forums.

Senior leaders present on the occasion also addressed the gathering, stressing the need for collective political awareness and active participation to ensure that neglected areas like Venkara receive their due share of development.

The event concluded with a renewed pledge by party workers and new members to work unitedly for strengthening the PDP at the grassroots level and to continue advocating for the rights and welfare of the people of Baramulla.
