During the inspections, several discrepancies were noticed at some institutions. These included non-maintenance/preparation of Teachers’ Diaries, reflecting inadequate academic preparedness on the part of some teaching staff; non-preparation of Mid-Day Meal (MDM) in some schools; deployment of teachers to other departments resulting in shortage of teaching staff in their parent institutions; and instances where students were reportedly asked to leave the school after the first half of the working day.

The Joint Director issued necessary instructions to the concerned staff and DDOs/HOIs and made it clear that regular inspections and follow-up visits would be conducted. He stressed that the performance of every institution must improve and that all functionaries must discharge their duties with sincerity, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility.
