আজ সেই পবিত্র ফলহারিণী কালীপূজা, যা পালিত হয় অমাবস্যার রাত্রিতে—এক গভীর আধ্যাত্মিক শক্তির তিথিতে। বিশ্বাস করা হয়, মা কালীকে এই রাত্রে পূজা করলে তিনি আমাদের কর্মফলের বন্ধন ছিন্ন করেন এবং পুনর্জন্মের চক্র থেকে মুক্তি প্রদান করেন।
এই দিনেই, ১২৮০ বঙ্গাব্দ (১৩ই জ্যৈষ্ঠ), ঠাকুর শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণ সম্পাদন করেন ঐতিহাসিক ষোড়শী পূজা, যেখানে তিনি শ্রীশ্রীমা সারদাদেবীকে ত্রিপুরাসুন্দরী রূপে পূজা করেন—এই মহালগ্নে নিজের পত্নীকেই তিনি দেবীর আসনে বসিয়ে পূজা করেন। এই অনন্য ঘটনা বিশ্বধর্মের ইতিহাসে এক বিশাল আধ্যাত্মিক বিপ্লব এনে দেয়।
🕉️ অন্ধকার থেকে আলোর পথে:
ঠাকুর শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণের সাধনার সূচনা হয়েছিল মা কালীর উপাসনা দিয়ে। কালী—দশ মহাবিদ্যার প্রথম রূপ—যার রঙ কালো। এই রূপ অন্ধকারময় আত্মসন্ধানের পথের প্রতীক, যা সাধককে নিয়ে যায় আত্মশুদ্ধির পথে।
এরপর, তিনি অনুভব করেন উজ্জ্বল ষোড়শীর দর্শন, যার গাত্রবর্ণ প্রভাতের সূর্যের মত দীপ্তিময়। তিনি বলেছিলেন—
“ষোড়শীর অঙ্গ হতে রূপসৌন্দর্য গলিয়া চারিদিকে বিস্তৃত হইতে দেখিয়াছিলাম।”
এই কালী থেকে ষোড়শীর দিকে যাত্রা যেন অজ্ঞতার অন্ধকার থেকে চেতনতার আলোর দিকে অগ্রসর হওয়া।
🕉️ দার্শনিক গভীরতা:
জ্ঞানার্ণব তন্ত্রে বলা হয়েছে:
“সহস্র কোটি জিহ্বা থাকলেও দেবী শ্রীবিদ্যার মহিমা বলা যায় না।”
তিনি শুদ্ধ সত্ত্বের ঘনীভূত মূর্তি—রজ ও তম থেকে মুক্ত—শুদ্ধতম পরব্রহ্ম।
আচার্য শঙ্কর তাঁর ললিতা সহস্রনাম গ্রন্থে ষোড়শীকে দশমহাবিদ্যার মধ্যে সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ, শুদ্ধতমা রূপে অভিহিত করেছেন। তাই ঠাকুর শ্রীরামকৃষ্ণের শ্রীমাকে ষোড়শী রূপে পূজা যেন এক পরিণত সাধনার স্বীকৃতি।
পরশুরামकल्पসূত্রে বলা হয়েছে—কালী প্রধান সচিব আর ষোড়শী সম্রাজ্ঞী। কালীসাধনার পরেই ষোড়শীপূজা উপযুক্ত, কারণ তাতেই সাধকের সাধনাজীবনের চূড়ান্ত সম্পূর্ণতা ঘটে।
🕉️ বিশ্বদৃষ্টিভঙ্গির এক নবদিগন্ত:
এই পূজা ভেঙে দিয়েছিল প্রাদেশিকতার গণ্ডি—পূর্বের কালী এবং দক্ষিণের ষোড়শী ঠাকুরের কল্পনায় একীভূত হলেন। একইসঙ্গে নারীত্বের প্রতি সামাজিক ধারণাও এক নবরূপ পেল—ইতিহাসে এই প্রথম, এক স্বামী নিজের পত্নীকেই জীবন্ত দেবী রূপে পূজা করলেন।
📿 এই মহাশুভদিনে মহামায়ার চরণে প্রার্থনা—
“হে শক্তিময়ী জগন্মাতা, হে ভবতারিণী, আমাদের দেহ ও মন পবিত্র করো। হৃদয়ে আবির্ভূত হয়ে কল্যাণ সাধন করো। সমস্ত মায়ার পর্দা সরাও, আত্মসিদ্ধির দ্বার খুলে দাও।”

Today marks the sacred Phalaharini Kali Puja, observed on the new moon day—a night of deep spiritual potency. It is believed that Mother Kali, when worshipped on this night, destroys the karmic cycles leading to rebirths, offering the soul a path to liberation.
On this very day in 1280 Bengali Era (13th Jyeshtha), Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa performed the historic Shodashi Puja, invoking the Divine Mother Tripura Sundari in the form of Sri Sarada Devi, thereby symbolically worshipping his own spiritual consort as the supreme goddess. This unprecedented event became a profound spiritual milestone in the history of world religion.
🕉️ From Darkness to Light:
Sri Ramakrishna’s spiritual journey began with Kali Sadhana, symbolizing the path through darkness—Kali, the first of the Mahavidyas, black in form, guiding seekers through the initial trials of inner purification.
Later, his vision shifted to the radiant Shodashi, whose complexion resembles the rising sun. Describing her, he said,
“I saw beauty melting and flowing out from her limbs, spilling in all directions.”
This journey from Kali to Shodashi represents the aspirant’s path from the chaos of ignorance to the supreme light of realization.
🕉️ The Philosophical Depth:
The Jñānārṇava Ta**ra declares:
“Even a thousand crores of tongues cannot describe the glory of the Devi Sri Vidya.”
She is pure Sattva, devoid of Rajas and Tamas—the highest form of the Divine.
Acharya Shankara described Shodashi as the purest among the ten Mahavidyas in his Lalita Sahasranama. Hence, Sri Ramakrishna’s worship of Sri Sarada Devi as Shodashi stands not only as a culmination of his spiritual path but also as the affirmation of the feminine divine in its highest form.
Even the Parashurama Kalpa Sutra acknowledges: Kali is the Chief Minister, and Shodashi the Empress. Thus, worship of Kali naturally leads to the invocation of Shodashi.
🕉️ A New Vision for the World:
This act of worship shattered regional boundaries—Kali of the East and Shodashi of the South united through one man’s spiritual realization. It also transformed the perception of womanhood—for the first time, a husband worshipped his wife as the living deity.
📿 On this holy day, we offer our humble prayers to the Mother of the Universe:
“O Divine Mother, O Supreme Shakti, cleanse our body and soul, reside within our hearts, grant us auspiciousness and remove our illusions. Open the doors of realization.
