Historic Milestone for Odisha’s Diamond Triangle

UNESCO has officially accepted the Serial Nomination of Odisha’s Diamond Triangle — Ratnagiri, Udayagiri, and Lalitgiri into India’s Tentative List for World Heritage status.

This recognition reinforces Odisha’s significance in the global Buddhist landscape. In a forward-looking approach, the Department envisions developing the Buddhist Triangle into a holistic, world-class Buddhist heritage and tourism destination, aligned with the principles of conservation and sustainable tourism.

This achievement is the outcome of sustained efforts and scholarly inputs of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), acknowledging its pivotal role in research, documentation, and heritage conservation.

Where the Diamond Triangle Awakens the Dharma | 2nd Guru Padmasambhava Ceremony

At the sacred heart of Odisha lies the Diamond Triangle of Odisha—
Ratnagiri, Udayagiri, Lalitgiri—
ancient centres where the Vajrayana path once flourished in silence and stone.

As these timeless landscapes prepare to resonate again,
the 2nd Guru Padmasambhava Ceremony is about to unfold.
From 11–16 January, prayers, mantras, and rituals will reconnect this land
to the living lineage of Guru Padmasambhava.

This is more than remembrance.
It is a return.
A sacred gathering of the Dharma, where history, devotion, and wisdom converge.
