On 6th October 2026, the District Administration, Chirang, organized a Seva Sankalpa Camp as part of the Seva Sankalpa Abhiyan at Shankardev Shishu Udyan and Bhawan, Bijni, for the citizens of Bijni Municipal Board .
A total of 577 registered citizens availed themselves of various public services provided by the departments participating in the camp. The programme was attended by Hon’ble Executive Member, BTC, Shri Dhiraj Borgayari; Shri Gakul Chandra Brahma, ACS, District Commissioner, Chirang, Additional District Commissioner i/c, SDO(C), Bijni, Circle Officer, Bijni; and officials from various departments.
The camp aimed to bring essential government services closer to the people and facilitate efficient and accessible delivery of public services to the citizens of Bijni Municipal Board .

A preparatory meeting for the Sewa Jyoti Kalash Yatra was held on 5th October, 2026 at the Conference Hall of the Office of the District Commissioner, Chirang, under the chairmanship of Shri Gakul Chandra Brahma, ACS, District Commissioner, Chirang.
The meeting was attended by Shri Pani Ram Brahma, Hon’ble MLA, 19-Sidli Chirang (ST) LAC; Shri Arup Kumar Dey, Hon’ble MLA, 20-Bijni LAC; Shri James Basumatary, Hon’ble Executive Member, BTC; Hon’ble MCLA, BTC; Additional District Commissioner; Assistant Commissioner; Heads of Line Departments; and VCDC Secretaries.
The meeting discussed arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Sewa Jyoti Kalash Yatra scheduled for 7th October, 2026, including coordination, route arrangements, public participation, security, traffic management, cleanliness and reception arrangements.
The District Commissioner requested all concerned to ensure close coordination and timely completion of all necessary arrangements. The representatives assured their full cooperation for the successful conduct of the programme.

The Chirang District Administration organised the Seva Sankalpa Abhiyan at Kashikotra H.S. School, Chirang, on 4th October 2026. The programme was attended by the Hon’ble MLA, 20 Bijni LAC, Shri Arup Kumar Dey; Shri Gakul Chandra Brahma, ACS, District Commissioner, Chirang; the Additional District Commissioner & i/c SDO(C), Bijni; Circle Officer, Bijni; Heads of various departments of Bijni Sub-Division; and beneficiaries.

The programme was organised with the objective of facilitating the delivery of government services and welfare benefits directly to the people and strengthening the interface between the administration and beneficiaries at the grassroots level. The participation of senior district officials and beneficiaries reflected the administration’s commitment to ensuring accessible, responsive and people-centric governance.

The Hon’ble Minister of Transport and Welfare of Bodoland and Guardian Minister of Chirang Shri Charan Bodo inaugurated the Highway Emergency Assistance service at the Circuit House, Kajalgaon, on 1st October 2026. The programme was held in the presence of the Hon’ble MLA of 19 Sidli Chirang (ST) LAC, the District Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police, District Transport Officer, Chirang, and officials of Highway Emergency Assistance.
The initiative aims to strengthen emergency support and assistance for commuters and road users along the highways, particularly during road accidents and other emergencies. The inauguration marks an important step towards improving road safety, emergency response, and public assistance in Chirang district.

An NCORD meeting was held on 29th September 2026 at the Conference Hall of the Office of the District Commissioner, Chirang, under the chairmanship of Shri Gakul Chandra Brahma, ACS, District Commissioner, Chirang.

The meeting reviewed the prevailing drug abuse and illicit trafficking situation in the district, with discussions focusing on strengthening inter-departmental coordination, intelligence sharing, awareness campaigns, and enforcement measures. The Chair urged all departments to remain vigilant and work collectively to prevent drug-related activities.

The meeting was attended by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Additional District Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Chirang, officials from Sashastra Seema Bal and other concerned departments.

The meeting was attended by the Hon’ble MLA, 19 Sidli Chirang (ST) LAC; Hon’ble Executive Member, BTC; Senior Superintendent of Police; Additional District Commissioner; Assistant Commissioner; Deputy Superintendent of Police; Circle Officers of Sidli and Bengtol; and Heads of Line Departments.
