Today, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, we came together at Panjab Digital Library for a small, meaningful gathering.
We had the pleasure of learning more about the month of Ramadan through an insightful presentation by Dr. Kafeel Ahmad Bhat, Head of our Metadata Department.
Moments like these remind us that beyond our work, we are simply human, supporting, learning from, and celebrating with one another.

Celebrating the 558th year of the Nanakshahi Calendar with this blueprint of a 100-year-old pocket watch designed by Sri Guru Nanak Sahi Karkhana, Ludhiana, which probably was never crafted.
The Watch displays Days, Weeks, Months, Hours, Directions and Dates, arranged in concentric circles. Together, they give insight into the gradual changes of the Cosmos. The first circle shows the 7 Days of the week, followed by 12 Months in the second circle. The third wheel shows the 12 hours of the day with a 360 Degree Compass at the bottom. The dates are displayed on the outermost circle. Gurbani, an integral part of our life, embellishes its circumference.
