Two NDPS (G***a) cases registered today by Dist. Mobile Unit, Khordha. Seizure: 250 kg G***a, two vehicles (Maruti Suzuki G Vitara & DZIRE VXI), and 3 smartphones. Three accused arrested and forwarded to the Court of 1st ADJ, Khordha.

NDPS case detected on 26.03.2026 by EI & EB, Unit-II, Cuttack.

During the operation at Tangi Toll Plaza under Tangi Police Station, 84 kg of g***a was seized from a Tata Indigo CS. The estimated value of the contraband is ₹8.40 lakh.

Two individuals were apprehended and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.

Boudh Excise team registered two NDPS (UC) cases under PS–Manamunda on 25–26.03.2026. A total of 360 kg g***a was seized from Kakatpanga and Maltiguchhapada forest areas.

Detection on 27.06.2022 by I.O of the E.I & E.B Unit-II (CD) led to seizure of 112 kg g***a; accused Munna Ansari sentenced to 10 years RI + ₹1 lakh fine.
A strong message against drug trafficking.

Acting on reliable intelligence, EI & EB, Unit-II, Cuttack (Central Division) conducted a raid on 12.02.2026 at Bhatimunda (Saragaon), Tangi PS and seized 250 kg G***a worth approximately ₹25 lakh. One accused was arrested and forwarded.

On 11.02.2026, a joint raid was conducted by Excise, Police, and Forest officials at Dihapala, Pancham Reserve Forest under Daitari PS, Ghatagaon Excise Station. During the operation, approximately 8,000 illegally cultivated o***m plants spread over 4 acres of forest land were identified and destroyed on the spot.

In a significant enforcement action, E.I. & E.B Unit-II, Cuttack detected a case under the NDPS Act on 10.02.2026. During the operation, 50 kg of g***a (cannabis) was seized from a residential premises at Peyton Sahi under Purighat PS limits. A Kia Seltos vehicle was also taken into custody. The total estimated seizure value stands at approximately ₹14 lakhs. The accused has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.

In a continued crackdown against narcotics, Puri Excise achieved two major successes under the NDPS Act. On 10.02.2026, the OIC Pipli along with the Puri Excise team seized 178 grams of he**in (brown sugar) worth —- under Pipli PS limits and arrested one accused. Further, on 11.02.2026, IIC Nimapada Range, detected a Commercial NDPS Brown Sugar case with seizure of 372 grams of he**in worth Rs.1.6 Cr, one person was arrested along with sale proceeds.

120 g of he**in (brown sugar) worth 12 lakhs was seized by Balasore team in NDPS today at Sergarh Chowak under Khantapada PS. One accused was arrested and one Jupiter scooty was also seized.

ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଅବକାରୀ ଆୟୁକ୍ତଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଅତିଥି ମାନେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ କ୍ରୀଡା ବିଭାଗର ବିଜେତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଟ୍ରଫି ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଛନ୍ତି।

Today on 04.02.26, the Keonjhar Excise staff of the District destroyed 10000 o***m poppy plants cultivated in an approximate area of 5 acres at deopal hill area under daitari ps of Ghatagaon Excise Station. The estimated value is Rs. 2000000/-.
