REAP Signs MoA with GB Pant University for Hi-Tech Potato Seed Supply Chain
The Rural Enterprise Acceleration Project has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology to establish a resilient, hi-tech potato seed supply chain in Uttarakhand using the Apical Rooted Cuttings (ARC) method.
The MoA was signed in the presence of Ms. Jharna Kamthan, Project Director REAP, Mr. Naresh Kumar, Dy Commissioner (Project), Mr. M.S. Yadav, Deputy Director-HR&T, Mr. Anmol Jain, Team Leader MCF, Mr. Vipan Mandwal, PMU along with representatives from GB Pant University including Dr. Ajeet Singh Nain and Dr. Dhirendra Singh.

IFAD Field Visit at REAP Haridwar
Mr. Shankar Achuthan Kutty, Senior Procurement Officer, IFAD conducted a field visit to REAP-supported locations in Haridwar district today, reviewing key activities and enterprise operations. Mr. Bhupendra Prasad Kandpal, Director Finance, was also present.

Mr. Shankar Achuthan Kutty, Senior Procurement Officer, IFAD, conducted a review mission at REAP, during which he conducted several internal discussions and field visits in Sahaspur Block, Dehradun.
The engagements focused on strengthening procurement systems, improving sourcing efficiencies, and enabling sustainable enterprise operations at the community level.

IFAD visit to REAP project sites, Dehradun
Ms. Esha Singh from IFAD visited key enterprise units in Dehradun, including the Cold Pressed Mustard Oil Unit at Kalsi and the Bakery Unit at Vikasnagar.
The visit highlighted the impact of IFAD-supported livelihood initiatives and provided valuable insights on scaling up and ensuring sustainability of SHG-led enterprises.

Technical Specialist from IFAD, Ms. Esha Singh visited Dehradun to review the ongoing IFAD-supported REAP project, with a specific focus on ICT4D and digitalisation initiatives.
The mission assessed current interventions, identified areas for enhancement, and explored future opportunities for strengthening implementation.

The craftsmanship and dedication of SHG women took centre stage as their products were presented before the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh by Additional Secretary RD & PD-REAP, Ms. Jharna Kamthan.
The Governor appreciated the quality and effort of the products of House of Himalayas, recognising the strength of grassroots entrepreneurship as these creations showcased local excellence while carrying forward the stories, skills, and aspirations of the women behind them.
