उत्तराखंड संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय के छठे दीक्षांत समारोह में राज्यपाल/कुलाधिपति द्वारा 40 मेधावी स्वर्ण पदक से सम्मानित

उत्तराखण्ड के राज्यपाल डाॅ0कृष्ण कांत पाल ने आज शनिवार को उत्तराखण्ड संस्कृत विश्व विद्यालय के छठे दीक्षान्त समारोह को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि संस्कृत केवल एक भाषा नहीं अपितु सदियों से समाज को ज्ञान और संस्कारों से पोषित/समृद्ध कर रही भारत की गौरवशाली सांस्कृतिक विरासत का प्रतीक है जिसमें आध्यात्म, आदर्श जीवन दर्शन, ज्ञान-विज्ञान और श्रेष्ठ साहित्य का अनमोल खजाना संरक्षित है। संस्कृत भाषा में रचित ग्रन्थों में मौजूद ज्ञान को केवल संस्कृत के अध्येताओं तक सीमित नहीं रहना चाहिए, इसमें निहित ज्ञान-संपदा से भलीभांति परिचित व लाभान्वित होने के लिए दुनियाभर के शोधार्थियों और संस्कृत विद्वानों को जोड़ने की आवश्यकता है इसके लिये कम्प्यूटर-इंटरनेट जैसे सभी आधुनिक तकनीक/संचार माध्यमों का प्रयोग सर्वाधिक उपयुक्त होगा। इस दिशा में ठोस परिणामों के लिये संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय को अपनी भूमिका रेखांकित करनी होगी। देवभूमि में स्थापित इस विश्वविद्यालय को ज्ञान का ऐसा उत्कृष्ट केन्द्र बनाने का लक्ष्य निर्धारित करना होगा, जैसे कभी तक्षशिक्षा और नालन्दा विश्वविद्यालयों थे जिनमें दुनिया के सभी देशों के विद्यार्थियों, शोधार्थियों और जिज्ञासुओं के लिये अध्ययन व सभी प्रकार की जिज्ञासाओं के समाधान की व्यवस्था थी।
राज्यपाल ने संस्कृत को उदीयमान भविष्य की धरोहर बताया और उसके वैभवशाली अतीत तथा वर्तमान चुनौतियों का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि इन चुनौतियों का मुकाबला तभी किया जा सकता है जब प्राचीन और आधुनिक विज्ञान को एक साथ रखा जाए। आज सारी दुनिया आयुर्वेद, योग और प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा की ओर आकर्षित हो रही है। आयुर्वेद, योग और सिद्धा जैसी चिकित्सा पद्धतियों का अनमोल साहित्य संस्कृत में मौजूद है जिसे महर्षि पाणिनी, महर्षि कात्यायन तथा योगशास्त्र के प्रणेता महर्षि पतंजलि ने संस्कारित किया है। इन तीनों ही महर्षियों ने बड़ी कुशलता से योग की क्रियाओं को भाषा में समाविष्ट किया यही इस भाषा की विशेषता और रहस्य है जिसकी वैज्ञानिकता पूरी दुनिया में प्रमाणित हो चुकी है।
संस्कृत और रोजगार पर बोलते हुए राज्यपाल ने कहा कि विश्वविद्यालय, संस्कृत के साथ म्यूजिमोलाॅजी जैसे पाठ्यक्रम शुरू करें। इससे संस्कृत भाषा के संरक्षण-संवर्धन तथा प्रचार-प्रसार को मजबूती मिलेगी और विश्वविद्यालय से उपाधि प्राप्त विद्यार्थियों के लिए पुरातत्व विभाग व संग्रहालयों में रोजगार के दरवाजे भी खुलेंगे।
आज उपाधि प्राप्त विद्यार्थियों को बधाई देते हुए राज्यपाल ने उनका आह्वान किया कि संस्कृत भाषा में निहित भारतीय मूल्यों व संस्कारों से पोषित अपने ज्ञान, योग्यता और चारित्रिक गुणों की शक्तियों से देश-प्रदेश और समाज को लाभान्वित करते हुए अपनी आजीविका सुनिश्चित करें।
राज्यपाल ने प्रेरक शब्दों में कहा, -‘‘विद्यार्थियों को पदक से सम्मानित करके व उपाधि प्रदान करने पर गर्व के साथ ही मुझे यह अनुभूति हो रही है कि मैंने भारतीय संस्कृति और मूल्यों को पोषित करने का कार्य विश्वसनीय हाथों में सौंपा है।’’
भू-मंडलीकरण के इस युग में संस्कृत भाषा और उसके साहित्य में छिपे अथाह ज्ञान के वैज्ञानिक अध्ययन व शोध को नितान्त आवश्यक बताते हुए राज्यपाल/कुलाधिपति ने संस्कृत की अनगिनत विशेषताओं का उदाहरण दिया और कहा कि विश्वभर में कम्प्यूटर के लिये सर्वाधिक सुविधाजनक मानी जा चुकी संस्कृत भाषा के डिजिटाईजेशन की तकनीक जैसे-जैसे विकसित होती जायेगी वैसे-वैसे कम्प्यूटर के क्षेत्र में अभूतपूर्व परिणाम भी परिलक्षित होंगे तब वैश्विक स्तर पर संस्कृत के प्राचीन ग्रन्थों पर शोध का महत्व और अधिक बढ़ेगा।
राज्यपाल ने आयुर्वेद सहित वैदिक गणित, प्राचीन अर्थशास्त्र, कृषि एवं वनस्पति विज्ञान, प्राचीन समुद्र विज्ञान और एस्ट्रोलाॅजी जैसे विषयांे के मानक कोश तैयार किए जाने पर बल देते हुए कहा कि इनके कोश तैयार होने से विश्व पटल पर इन्हें आधुनिक ज्ञान (नाॅलेज) के समान स्थापित करने में आसानी होगी। इन कोशों के माध्यम से इस बात को तार्किक और तथ्यात्मक रूप से स्थापित किया जा सकता है कि प्राचीन भारत में भी विज्ञान विकसित रूप में मौजूद था।
आज विश्वविद्यालय परिसर में संपन्न दीक्षांत समारोह में राज्यपाल द्वारा शैक्षिक सत्र 2014-15 व 2015-16 में विभिन्न विषयों में डी.लिट., पी.एचडी., स्नातक, स्नातकोत्तर और अन्य व्यावसायिक पाठ्यक्रमों उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले 40 विद्यार्थियों को स्वर्ण पदक से सम्मानित किया गया।

Governor awards gold medals to 40 students at sixth convocation of Uttarakhand Sanskrit University.

governor Dr.K.K.Paul was the chief guest at the sixth convocation of Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, Haridar.Addressing the gathering at the convocation, the governor said that Sanskrit was not merely a language but a valuable Indian heritage and tradition which had been nourishing and enriching society with wisdom and “sanskaras” for centuries .He said it was symbolic of Indian culture and civilization envisaging philosophy , science and literature.
The governor said that the epics and other literature created in Sanskrit had a treasure of knowledge which should not remain confined o those who knew Sanskrit.It should be made available to the entire country and the world by using information technology. Research Scholars and Sanskrit scholars must be linked to this effort. He said that the Sanskrit University must define its role in this context and make itself a centre of excellence in Devbhumi just like ancient universities of Takshashila and Nalanda where scholars from al over the country and abroad should come and study and research.
He said that Sanskrit was a heritage that would help attain a bright future .He said it had a glorious pat and faced challenges in the present. He said these challenges could be met only if old traditions and current systems go hand in hand. He said the entire world today was being attracted towards Ayurveda,Yoga and nature cure and literature for these was available in Sanskrit which was created by Maharishi Panini, Maharishi Patanjali and Maharishi Katyayan . The scientific basis of Sanskrit can be seen in these works and the world has accepted this.
The governor said that the university, in order to link employment with Sanskrit , should start courses like museumology.This would also help in the conservation and propagation of Sanskrit and enable students of Sanskrit to find employment in the archaeological department and museums.
He congratulated the award-winning students and called upon them to decide upon their career while keeping in mind the values inherent in Sanskrit which would help them enrich society and the nation and strengthen it. He said he felt proud to award them the medals and had the feeling that he had given the task of nourishing Indian values and heritage in safe and reliable hands.
He said that in this world of globalization, there was great need for studying scientifically the Sanskrit language and research on it .Sanskrit could be used in a scientific manner in computers and IT . He said this would help fulfill the need for making the wisdom of Sanskit classics available easily to the entire world.
He said alongwith Ayurveda, standards (reference works) for Vedic Mathematics, ancient economics. agriculture, botany and ancient oceanography and astrology should also be prepared as this would help in establishing in the world that all this developed knowledge was existing in ancient India .
In the convocation, the governor gave away degrees and medals to 40 students from the 2014-15 and 2015-16 batches .Students were given D.Litt, Ph.D, graduate,post graduate and other degrees.
