In a major anti-corruption action in Dehradun, the Vigilance trap team caught a Deputy Education Officer red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹1 lakh, along with a female associate who was accompanying him; the bribe was demanded from a complainant, a school owner in Rishikesh, in exchange for clearing bills related to student fee reimbursement under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.

देहरादून में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए विजिलेंस देहरादून ट्रैप टीम द्वारा शिकायकर्ता से ऋषिरकेश स्थित एक स्कूल के मालिक से शिक्षा का अधिकार अधिनियम के तहत छात्रो की फीस प्रतिपूर्ति से जूडे बिल पास कराने के ऐवज मे उप शिक्षा अधिकारी व साथ ही एक महिला सहयोगी को ₹1 लाख की रिश्वत लेते रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार किया गया।
