Feeling truly grateful and privileged to have had the opportunity to engage in a Jiu-Jitsu workshop with Shri Rahul Gandhi ji in New Delhi last week.
It was a great privilege to spend a quite a lot of time with the future PM of our country.
It was an incredible experience for me to be on a One on One, Jiu Jitsu training session, with our leader.
As a woman politician, learning self-defense is something I feel is essential as it empowers me with strength and confidence wherever I go.
I sincerely thank Shri Rahul Gandhi ji for dedicating time out of his important schedule for us.

The training program for the Indira fellowship participants was conducted in Tamilnadu congress committee office today. A range of topics were discussed and I was one of the resource person. I spoke about the importance of women in politics. Why their participation is very important to have a level playing field, prevent gender skewed policies and the economic consequences of more women in Politics. The group of young women were enthusiastic and I could see a lot of potential Women leaders form the group.

Did you know that Madurai Meenakshi Temple was in the list of 30 places that was nominated for seven wonders of the world?The Meenakshi Temple located at one of the oldest cities of India ‘Madurai’ was nominated for the ‘Seven wonders of the world.
It is dedicated to the goddess Meenakshi, a form of Shakti, and her consort, Sundareshwarar, a form of Shiva.
The west tower (gopuram) of the temple is the model based on which the Tamil Nadu State Emblem is designed.
