In this opening segment of Sur Samay Yaan, we explore the origins of Indian classical music and the formation of sacred mantras. Pandit Abhay Sopori reflects on the roots and evolution of this rich musical tradition. The mantras featured here are chanted by Acharya Ramesh Kaushik and his students from Srinivas Vedic Pathshala, Delhi, setting a profound and authentic foundation for the segments that follow.

Mantash takes the stage as the Opening Act at Kalidas ka KathaLok 2026, performing under the non-competition category and opening the musical segment with energy and rhythm at Purana Qila. 🎵

As part of Kalidas ka KathaLok, SamayYaan is also organising a college band competition, creating a platform for young musical voices. Mantash’s performance marks the opening of event under Non-Competitive segment while competing bands follow as part of the Competition.
