Discussions focused on bilateral trade, passenger facilitation, and enhancing medical tourism between India and Bangladesh.

Strengthening India–Bhutan border cooperation!

A Bhutanese delegation led by Shri Dzongda Dorji Gyeltshen, Deputy Commissioner, and Shri Sonam Wangchuk, SSP, Jamdrup Jonkhar, along with Bhutan Customs officials, visited Land Port Darranga.

Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral trade, improving border management, facilitating seamless cargo & passenger movement, and enhancing coordination for better trade infrastructure and operational efficiency.

Strengthening partnerships with neighbouring countries!

A delegation from the Royal Government of Bhutan visited Land Port Rupaidiha to observe infrastructure, stakeholder coordination, and operational systems under LPAI. The visit included detailed presentations, stakeholder interactions, and a guided tour of the port.

The delegation also visited the counterpart Land Port on the Nepal side, where interactions were held with Customs and terminal officials to understand cross-border coordination and operational mechanisms.

Strengthening cross-border coordination!

An Indo–Nepal District Level Coordination Meeting was held at Land Port Jogbani, Bihar with District Administration officials — DM & SP Araria (India) and CDOs & SPs of Morang & Sunsari (Nepal). Discussions focused on curbing illegal trade, narcotics channels & human trafficking.

Bringing classroom learning to real-world experience!

MBA students from Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari visited Land Port Raxaul for an exposure programme. They received insights on LPMS & port operations, followed by a guided tour—gaining understanding of trade & passenger movement.

organised a Workshop on Gender Sensitisation at Land Port Golakganj, Assam. Dr. Rekha Raikar Kumar, Member (Finance), LPAI delivered the Welcome Address virtually, followed by welcome remarks by Chief Guest Shri Upendra Rai, DIG SHQ Dhubri.

The workshop featured 5 sessions on Gender Sensitisation, POSH, Mental Health, Anti-Human Trafficking & Gender Mainstreaming, with participation from BSF, Customs & stakeholders, strengthening awareness, safety & coordination.

A plantation drive was also organised, symbolising growth & collaboration. The initiative reflects LPAI’s commitment to inclusive workplaces and sustainable development.

A delegation from UNESCAP visited Land Port Darranga and held interactions with stakeholders from India and Bhutan, including traders and Customs officials.

Discussions focused on trade volumes, key commodities, challenges, and opportunities to enhance cross-border trade and regional connectivity. The team also visited border gates to assess on-ground operations and explore avenues for future collaboration.
