RPC Foundation Day Cricket Match
Date: Sunday, 15/02/26
Venue: Quadrangle Cricket Ground (QCG)

The stage was set…
The LEGENDS were back!
The much-awaited clash between Presidents XI and Vice Presidents XI began with Vice Presidents XI winning the toss and opting to bat.
First Innings
Vice Presidents XI, led by Prof Khokhar (Managed by Prof Rajpal), walked in with determination. However, Presidents XI, under the leadership of Prof Titiyal (Managed by Prof Radhika Tandon), struck early — taking a wicket on just the second ball of the match! The Presidents XI bowlers maintained relentless accuracy throughout. Dr Paritosh lived his childhood dream of playing at the prestigious QCG and marked the occasion with an exceptional spell, claiming 3 crucial wickets.
Last year’s star, Dr Abhay, departed without opening his account. However, Dr Sai Vineet, playing his final match at QCG, displayed controlled aggression and composure to anchor the innings and bring VP XI to a respectable 108 runs in 15 overs. Highlights of the innings included: A controversial caught-behind decision involving Dr Saurabh, excellent wicketkeeping by Prof Rajesh & Tight, disciplined bowling by Presidents XI.
Despite flashes of brilliance, VP XI had a challenging first innings.
Second Innings
The chase began in spectacular fashion! Star batsman Dr Kartikay smashed a six off the very first ball and followed it up with two more breathtaking shots — scoring an astonishing 31 runs in the first over! From there on, VP XI bowlers found themselves on the back foot. Despite spirited fielding efforts by alumni Dr Sameer (only fielding: as he was the one who bowled the first over!) and sharp wicketkeeping by Dr Vineet Batwani, the momentum firmly belonged to Presidents XI. Dr Kartikay continued his aerial assault, soon reaching a well-deserved half-century before retiring to allow others to showcase their talent. The remaining batters contributed steadily, and Presidents XI comfortably chased down the target with overs to spare — ensuring everyone made it to lunch on time!
🏆 Presidents XI emerged victorious!
