DC Central Zone, along with MCD officials, conducted an inspection of civic improvement works in the Jangpura and Defence Colony Underpass areas under the zone.

During the visit, ongoing deep cleaning and extensive sanitation activities were reviewed. Encroachments on MCD land were also inspected and necessary directions were issued for their removal to ensure better utilisation of public spaces.

The progress of road widening and beautification works was assessed to help decongest the area and improve traffic movement. A rainwater harvesting structure being developed to address waterlogging concerns was also reviewed.

In addition, the construction of a safety wall along the railway tracks was inspected to prevent the dumping of waste and construction debris in the area. The ongoing park redevelopment works at Lajpat Nagar were also reviewed, and instructions were issued to the concerned officials for timely ex*****on of all projects.

Ahead of the monsoon season, Municipal Commissioner Shri Sanjeev Khirwar inspected key waterlogging-prone locations and ongoing development works in the MCD City SP Zone to review preparedness measures and ensure the timely completion of critical infrastructure projects.

During the visit, he reviewed arrangements at the Kishanganj Railway Under Bridge, inspected drainage maintenance works at Padam Nagar, and assessed the progress of road construction projects in Shastri Nagar.
