It was an honour for me to be able to serve the beautiful State of Assam for the past five years as the Governor of the State. I am grateful beyond measure that I have been appointed to serve the State of Assam by the Honourable President and the Honourable Prime Minister.

I want to take this chance to thank everyone who has supported me during my stint as the Governor of this wonderful State and to say how much I appreciate and am grateful for their support. I am pleased with the results of our concerted efforts, and I have faith that the state will continue to prosper and move forward.

I am appreciative of everyone in the Raj Bhavan family for his or her cooperation throughout my entire journey in this gubernatorial position. I wish everyone a long, healthy, and prosperous life ahead.

Administered the oath of office to Justice Sandeep Mehta as the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court at a solemn function held in Raj Bhavan today.

Inaugurated a Smart Shiksha (Mobile Digital Bus) and solar lighting and dedicated these services to the students of Nartap ME school and anganwadi centre in Sonapur today.

‘Smart Shiksha’ digital bus is a unique mobile initiative by the SRF foundation. The bus will aid in bridging the digital divide between urban and rural and semi-rural areas.

In the direction of changing people’s lives through education, the Rural Education Program by the SRF Foundation has touched the lives of many students. Therefore, I hail the foundation’s endeavours in digitalizing education and making tech-inclusive education accessible for peripheral students.
